I came home from the concert to the sweetest display on my front door.  I stood and read all the hearts with awesome messages and spellings.  I loved reading how I'm "prite" (pretty).
It felt like Valentine's Day, my birthday, and Mother's day had exploded all over my house.
I stopped and read each over sized card the kids had made.  They drew and said the sweetest things.
At our bedroom door was Jake's card full of loving words for me.
When I opened my bedroom door there were balloons and flowers and my sweet husband had the largest chocolate covered strawberries I'd ever seen.
Talk about adorable, one lily is fake, LOVE IT!
Here is some artwork from my Mother's Day cards.

This cake is from Mali Su and
 I couldn't get over Aimi Lark's card.
This has Malachi tracing his hand and then Daddy tracing it just a tad better.  SO CUTE!
My man knows me so well.  He knows I'd love the southern mansion at the end of a tree lined driveway with BIG ol' white columns in front.
It was a great mother's day night until I went to take my jacket off and kinked my neck.  It was like it got stuck and was so painful!  I was stuck looking left.  The next morning I just cried as Jake took all the babies to church alone.  I told them they'd have to sing to me when they got home.  I was supposed to talk at church with Jake on Mother's Day but only being able to look left seemed like it wouldn't work.  Jake stepped up and talked for 30 minutes.  When I told my Mom I was going to miss my talk she told me Jake would have no problem doing a great job filling up all the time.  That he did!  People were messaging me from church to check on me and tell me how great a speaker my husband is.  Boy do I know he's great!  A total keeper.  He had me at the first lilies he ever bought me.

I love being a mother!  I love the influence of mothers in my life.  Women are powerful influences for good and I love the influences in my life.  From my grandmothers,
to my mother and mother-in-law.
I love these ladies!

  1. You're on my list of supermoms! Looks like a great Mother's Day...minus the neck issues!

20 Weeks

Today we had the opportunity to go in for our 20 week ultrasound. We are excited to announce that baby #3 is a healthy BOY! We are excited but have to admit we are a bit nervous. Change is hard and after two girls this is definitely a change. It will be a fun and wonderful experience. I have already thought about little boy ACUs and PT clothes (little army clothes) and what I will decorate the "boy" room in etc. I have always heard boys are "easier" but more rambunctious so I guess we will just have to see. I was excited that during the ultrasound our little boy was crossing his legs at the ankle like both his sisters do! So funny! We will keep y'all posted on names and other developments.

Halloween 2023

We pulled off our best Halloween!  Possibly ever!  Jake had a vision and it came true beautifully.  He even had the cutest song he sang.  I loved our last Halloween in our Hurst home.

sometimes life may get you down

but then you remember how wonderful you husband is and it makes it all ok. Jake surprised me by ordering these gorgeous handmade pearl earrings from TINY STORM for me for Christmas and they were waiting for us with all our mail when we arrived back home after vacation. He got down on one knee and presented me with these earrings and it brought tears to my eyes. I am so grateful to have such a wonderful, hardworking, and loving husband who is always there to take care of me and love me when I am having a rough time. Thank you Jacob!
