6 Years of Blogging

I have been blogging for 6 years.  I started Memorial Day weekend 2007 in Gilbert, AZ.
For fun here we are over the last 6 Memorial Day Weekends.

2007:  Gilbert, AZ
Jake was stationed at FT Huachuca so we spent the long weekend with the Saragers (Seth, Larkie's husband's parents).
 2008:  Provo, UT
 2009:  Provo, UT
Malachi was a new baby and we went to Thanksgiving Point with Nate and Ashley's family.
 2010:  Provo, UT
Beau was confirmed a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints.
 2011:  Orlando, FL
Jake was ordained a High Priest and his Dad flew out for a day.
 2012:  Davenport, FL
 2013:  Davenport, FL
Jake has no military obligations for a few months and has grown out his facial hair and head hair.  I learned that curls and red lipstick aren't my best look (or at least not together).

I love trips down memory lane.
I love blogging.
I love my blog books.
I love that Jake reads daily and that I've made it a habit to blog.
Thank y'all for sharing in our journey for the last 6 years and hopefully many many more to come.

20 Weeks

Today we had the opportunity to go in for our 20 week ultrasound. We are excited to announce that baby #3 is a healthy BOY! We are excited but have to admit we are a bit nervous. Change is hard and after two girls this is definitely a change. It will be a fun and wonderful experience. I have already thought about little boy ACUs and PT clothes (little army clothes) and what I will decorate the "boy" room in etc. I have always heard boys are "easier" but more rambunctious so I guess we will just have to see. I was excited that during the ultrasound our little boy was crossing his legs at the ankle like both his sisters do! So funny! We will keep y'all posted on names and other developments.

Halloween 2023

We pulled off our best Halloween!  Possibly ever!  Jake had a vision and it came true beautifully.  He even had the cutest song he sang.  I loved our last Halloween in our Hurst home.

sometimes life may get you down

but then you remember how wonderful you husband is and it makes it all ok. Jake surprised me by ordering these gorgeous handmade pearl earrings from TINY STORM for me for Christmas and they were waiting for us with all our mail when we arrived back home after vacation. He got down on one knee and presented me with these earrings and it brought tears to my eyes. I am so grateful to have such a wonderful, hardworking, and loving husband who is always there to take care of me and love me when I am having a rough time. Thank you Jacob!
