My Team

of experts is on hand and working hard. Dancing can be seen as Grammie Lark sings the Aurora song, "I know you, I walked with you once upon a dream..."  Also Aimi Lark is wearing a cute dress made by Grammie Lark's mom, Grammie Neville, that was worn by one of Jake's sisters one Easter.  Malachi likes to hang out and play with his toys with Mia.  Ariel may have lost her head today due to Zelda.  My support team!  I have such beautiful, knowledgeable, and wonderful women at my side!  Aimi Lark asked why she wasn't in the above picture so we took one real quick. At my ultrasound and doctor appointment this morning I found out I have made some progress.  I'm at a 2-3cm and Solomon weighed in at 8lbs 8oz, give or take 1.5lbs.  Some mild swelling of hands and feet can also be reported, today I couldn't get my ring off for the first time this pregnancy.  That is the only news on the baby front.  I'm having some mild/moderate cramping but no b...

Siesta Key, FL

We ventured out from our normal Daytona Beach to visit a beach I'd heard great things about, well the SAND mostly.  We went to Siesta Key, FL which is on the gulf side of FL.  It was quite the drive and EXTREMELY windy when we got there but we had a blast.  Grammie Lark is a California girl through and through so having her at the beach is always the best!  Digging in the white powder like sand was so fun, it wasn't grainy in the least.  Aimi Lark was anxious to get in the water.  Jake was so ticked that the riptide was SO STRONG he wasn't able to surf.  Grammie Lark showed everyone these amazing sand sculptures that were being made.  The guy making them said this was the best sand in the world for building (I assume his personal opinion).  Look at that white sand mermaid!  Malachi preferred cuddling to swimming and the wind.  Grammie Lark took Brody body surfing and a fin was lost, that stinking rip tide strikes again! ...

From Disneyland to Disney World

Grammie Lark (Jake's Mom) arrived today!  Aimi Lark told us today when we were leaving to pick up Jake's Mom from the airport, "Grammie Lark and Aimi Lark same names." We are so excited to have her here, now Solomon, we're ready!

Brothers

Tonight I came into our room and saw that all Malachi's blankets and pillow were on the floor in front of his crib.  I kinda laughed to myself thinking how silly he is to protest bedtime like that.  I went into our bathroom and turned on the light and when I did the cutest little boy just popped his head out from under pillows on my bed.  It was MALACHI WES!  He had not fallen asleep in his bed but instead snuck out and got in mine ever so quietly that I thought he was asleep.  That little prankster! I then got in bed with him and we cuddled, I stroked his hair, sang him songs, and he wiggled all around and finally laid his head ever so perfectly on my belly and wouldn't you know it, HE FELL ASLEEP.  He fell asleep right there, cuddling with his brother. Such a precious little moment right then and there for me as the mother of my two boys. I love them!

Our Sabbath

Malachi with a look of sudden realization on his face looked at me (Jake) and said "wa" (for water) then he said "shhh" (with his finger over his lips and thumb out) and then he said "da" (for quiet). Jake sent me this little description of what happened when Malachi saw the boys leaving to pass the water after the blessing of the sacrament.  So cute AND so smart. Aimi Lark got a WARM FUZZY today at church.  She has worked so hard and today she finally triumphed and got a "reverence prize."  I got to the car and when I did I hear Aimi Lark say, "Maaamaaa" from the back seat and when I look back she tells me she got a warm fuzzy.  I hurry and open the van door, and start to tear up as I congratulate her and tell her how proud I am!  She was just beaming with the sweetest smile on her face.  When I was talking to Jake as we drove he said that he gave her a pep talk before taking her to class and I told him I gave her one too!  I guess w...

"Nesting"

That word has always bothered me.  I had never heard the term til I was pregnant with Aimi Lark and people kept asking me that.  Tonight I was making labels for the boxes for the toys.  The toys I successfully consolidated from 2 shelves to 1.  My mom just laughed and said I was "nesting."  I'll admit I got a little defensive and said I wasn't and that I always labeled things, I did this with daycare even.  She said that she thought I was "nesting" because I had so much energy to accomplish this task.  She's probably right but I don't like the feeling of only being productive because I'm about to have a baby.  "I'm always productive" is what the immature person inside me wants to say or maybe scream defensively.  But either way, nesting or not, I got this task I've been wanting to do, DONE.  One shelf not two, labeled and organized.  Oh Happy Toy Area and Mom Mom.   While we were finishing up Malachi was DYING to play...

Aimi Lark is 4 years 3 months old

She seems to be ALWAYS cold and we find her wearing her coat at random times. She doesn't eat a ton and I don't force her, she's young enough to know when she's full and when she's hungry. She is tall and thin like grammie lark and grammie neville. "Re Ford it" is how the girls say rewind it when their movie is over and they want to watch it again. Aimi Lark makes this awful "ugly face" as I call it.  She not only turns the corner of her mouth down as a sad face but her lip kinda folds over and she gives herself a bit of a double chin.  It is really awful looking.  I can't wait for her to outgrow it. Bottles, ok so the story on the word "bottles."  I came home from the hospital and was feeding Malachi.  Aimi Lark, who was then 2 years and 5 months, came up to me and asked what I was doing.  I told her I was feeding Malachi.  She then asked if I was feeding him his "bottles" and I said, "yes, yes I am."...
Beau had the opportunity to go wake-boarding with some friends after school last week.  I love living near so many outdoor/water activities!  The boys also just got back from a scout camp out/paintball trip.  They've got some painful looking wounds!  Spring break is this week so hopefully we can keep them entertained.

a Double Date

We had the opportunity to meet up with our friends Ben and Lyric Webb at the Orlando LDS Temple last night.  Ben and I go way back to high school days for me, his younger brother Todd and I are the same age.  It was so fun to see them, as always.  I loved getting to chat with them at dinner afterward and hear all that is going on in their lives.  They live here in Orlando, as well, but Ben is in a PhD program and Lyric is a mom going to school so our lives get to cross paths just a little less than we'd like them to.  Even though we're only thirty minutes away from one another.  Jake has said he thinks friendships that start in your "childhood" are just a little stronger than others, I think he has a point.  When Jake ran back at a red light and flipped up Ben's windshield wipers it was definitely a throw-back to high school when the Webb boys ALWAYS did that to me and my best friend Marianne.  It is always great to see friends and go to...

Disney Songs

On the way home from Costco we were listening to a Disney cd.  The music went from songs the kids knew to songs from old school Disney movies, like Parent Trap.  Mali Su hollered she wanted to listen to DISNEY songs and then the color song came on.  Jake and Aimi Lark like this song.  Mali Su got SO ANGRY as Jake had the music turned way up and was singing happily/loudly to the color song.  I laughed to myself as Mali Su SCREAMED and CRIED and SCREAMED and CRIED about not wanting the color song and wanting DISNEY songs.  I said to Jake, "It's sad but I've felt that same anger she's feeling right now towards you before."  Jake loves to torture and is sometimes too hyper for his own good.  We love him.

HGTV presents

We know our days at Disney are numbered.  I am due soon and my pass is blocked out for the entire summer.  Not that I'd even want to go during the summer, peak season + heat = no thank-you.  OK so we went to Epcot yesterday for the FLOWER AND GARDEN FESTIVAL.  It was BEAUTIFUL.   Malachi LOVES sticks, Mali Su LOVES flowers.   The topiaries were SO IMPRESSIVE!  I asked for a picture but with the bright sun Mali Su stood like that forever waiting on her siblings to cooperate, such a cutie.  This water feature was the biggest hit of the day!  Mali Su played in it forever while Jake took Aimi Lark to first aid for a scraped knee that was causing some serious (over) reactions.  Malachi liked this area until the water would shoot up, then he ran for his life.  Aimi Lark made it back all bandaged up and didn't hold back.  She had a blast!  After a few minutes she took off her band-aid and told me, "My owie is...
