Leu Gardens

So here locally we have Leu Gardens.  It is beautiful and usually costs money so us moms
(Katie, Brenda, Erleen, Gretchen, and I)
decided to take our kids on their first Monday of the month when they offer free admission.  This is where I took my maternity pictures so we thought we'd take a chance on getting some good ones of our kids.  These are a few I snapped with my camera but Katie was the main photographer for us for the day.
A trip to the gardens wouldn't have been complete without the kids seeming to ALL step in some kind of stinging grass that gave them whelps/bumps on their feet.

They calmed down and we all regrouped in these "Cracker Barrel" style rocking chairs on the front porch.

Dinner at Chick Fil A was in order so we all went and let the kids play.  I came home to a happy house and Beau taught us an amazing FHE lesson.

20 Weeks

Today we had the opportunity to go in for our 20 week ultrasound. We are excited to announce that baby #3 is a healthy BOY! We are excited but have to admit we are a bit nervous. Change is hard and after two girls this is definitely a change. It will be a fun and wonderful experience. I have already thought about little boy ACUs and PT clothes (little army clothes) and what I will decorate the "boy" room in etc. I have always heard boys are "easier" but more rambunctious so I guess we will just have to see. I was excited that during the ultrasound our little boy was crossing his legs at the ankle like both his sisters do! So funny! We will keep y'all posted on names and other developments.

Halloween 2023

We pulled off our best Halloween!  Possibly ever!  Jake had a vision and it came true beautifully.  He even had the cutest song he sang.  I loved our last Halloween in our Hurst home.

sometimes life may get you down

but then you remember how wonderful you husband is and it makes it all ok. Jake surprised me by ordering these gorgeous handmade pearl earrings from TINY STORM for me for Christmas and they were waiting for us with all our mail when we arrived back home after vacation. He got down on one knee and presented me with these earrings and it brought tears to my eyes. I am so grateful to have such a wonderful, hardworking, and loving husband who is always there to take care of me and love me when I am having a rough time. Thank you Jacob!
