Weekend in Texas

I drove all night Friday night and made it in around 330am.  My brother, Joby, was up at 630am so we went for donuts.  For lunch I went with my siblings and Marianne at Casa Ole, just like in high school we shared "Miguel's Italian Nachos."  My cousin, Brittany, had her son's 3rd birthday party so we stopped by on our way to my brother Dillon's house.  Dillon's daugher, Riley, is a riot, she's adorably and so funny!  Five out of my Mom's six children.  That night we went out for supper at Cheddar's, another tradition Marianne and I have.  I was up at 4am and on the road, thankfully there are 24hr Whataburgers open to make the drive easier.  I love the drive through Louisiana.  I love my dear mother!  She's so generous when we come into town, my car was loaded down with goodies for the children.  Zelda did well this trip, we are glad to have her back! I always try so hard to see people whe...

Malachi & Swim Team

I wanted a picture by the pool but he told me that would be embarrassing so I settled for snapping pics when I could.  He will give me a thumbs up or flash an "I love you" sign in between laps.  He is even known to scurry over and grab a kiss before heading back to swim again.  He's amazing!  I love the amount of work it takes to be on the swim team. Time to start laps! Malachi is quite fast although his form is a little wild.  I love to see him pass kids in the water with him, I can't wait til he has his form down! Stretching and Listening are a must! The swim team coach has ankle-long dreads, no joke.  It's odd and impressive all at the same time! He will have 3 meets this season.  GO MALACHI!

Every Day Life

Lizards in our Yard that scatter when we exit.  Jake taught the kids the catch and release.  When the beach is only 2 miles from your house you can enjoy the ride home even more!  Daddy walks the kids to school and Malachi wasn't a fan at first.  Solomon no longer rides in the backpack, he's a big walker boy.  Having an "only" child is fun in the mornings before Jake leaves for work.  I also love the alone time with Solomon during the day while his siblings are away.  Gas here is only cheap at Costco that we've seen but the lines look like this ALL THE TIME.   We are loving life in Sunny (sometimes rainy) South FL.
