Have you ever wondered?

Have you ever wondered what would happen if Daddy left daughter to play in bath tub w/o water and daughter got bored in that bath tub w/o water and got out? Well THIS is what happens when Aimi Lark went in search of bathing water... (needless to say she got a REAL bath after this... I guess her plan worked and she got the bath water she wanted)

family pictures from Reno, NV

Thanks Christi for snapping some pictures of us!!!

How Cute is THIS Girl??

Just wanted to say how cute this girl is! A side note from Caroline: I left my account signed in on the Keeton's computer the other night at FHE and I'm guessing Kennard took the liberty to post this picture of his CUTEST daughter HADLEY! Thanks KENNY! this brightened my night when I saw it :)

19 months old

Aimi Lark turned 19 months old this past Saturday while we were in Reno, NV. I wanted to still share some info about her at this age... Aimi Lark has become quite the climber and daily tests out her abilities. She is now able to climb in our big tub without help. Aimi Lark still loves to steal her sister's (and Hadley's) pacifier but now knows that she has to give it back. She does however LOVE to run away with it sometimes and smile and squeal until we take it away and she cries ever so pitifully. Aimi Lark LOVES to cuddle with Mali Su. She climbs right on top of her and hugs and kisses and gives her "lovies" as her dad calls them. She even rubs her face on her tummy and sometimes face and it is really funny to watch. (this picture doesn't do their "lovies" justice ... here they both look miserable but they are usually smiling/laughing during their "lovies" sessions) Tonight I gave her her first Almond butter and jelly sandwich and she s...

Pool time

Did I mention yet how much we love having Aunt Audrey around? Well WE DO! Yesterday we girls went to the pool and enjoyed some swim time and today we did a workout video together before she got called in to work. Even the little girls joined in during our workout, it was very cute to watch them.

An unexpected trip...

We went to Reno, NV this weekend for Jake's aunt's funeral. This is Jake's mom's sister Lezlie Porter. You can read her obituary below: Lezlie Noel Porter To the peace of God and Heaven we acknowledge the release of Lezlie Noel Porter. Born 1947 to Jeanette and H. Chad Turner, in Los Angeles, California. She attended college in Greece and Denmark, and then graduated from Whittier College. "Is this poop or is it chocolate?"

So the title(quoted to me by Aunt Audrey) may not make sense right now but let me tell you why it is there... Yesterday afternoon Aimi Lark and Madilyn were playing in the playroom and were gated in. The adults and Mali Su were in the living room when we all of a sudden smelled an awful stinch. I jumped up thinking Madilyn had had an explosion like Nate had warned me about that morning. I ran to the baby gate and both girls walked over to me and had poo on their faces! and Madilyn had it all in her hands... it smelled terrible! I grabbed Madilyn and Jake grabbed Aimi Lark while Aunt Audrey went to run a bath. Jake and I began the stripping process and discovered it was AIMI LARK who had the major BLOW OUT. We wiped them down and then Aunt Audrey bathed them while Jake and I SANITIZED everything. We then dressed them in their pjs. I still cannot believe that Aimi Lark had an explosion that ended up all over the floor! And that the girls decided to "play" in it! We h...
The pitter patter of little feet Leave behind something dear and sweet A precious treasure for me to keep The memories of your little feet. Aimi Lark once again walked around in Aunt Audrey's red high heels today. Mali Su is just like her sister and crosses her feet at the ankle.

FHE

F amily H ome E vening is a night we take to spend as a family. This night usually includes a song, prayer, lesson/spiritual thought, and a song. It is very important in our home and I look forward to it every week. This week the Keetons came to our house. Kenny gave a great lesson on personal health/wellness and we have all decided to have our own version of "the biggest loser" so wish us luck with that. After our lesson we enjoyed an AMAZING dessert from Marlyse. There was much debate about the official name of the dessert but non the less it was an amazing chocolate burrito, chimichanga, choco burrito/taco dessert served with ice cream EVER! AND as always Aunt Audrey was the life of the party for the kiddos.

A weekend of CHANGE...

Here it is Monday night and I am finally able to blog about quite a few "changes" we made. Change #1 Jake re-caulked the area around our jetted tub. He is becoming such a handy man and doing such great things to improve the quality of our home. Change #2 Jake re-vamped our bedroom closet. The previous owner installed some "custom" shelves in our closet that were just not very "custom" and/or functional for us so Jake installed to alluminum bars to hang our clothing on. This was a big project for us. Let's hope it doesn't come crashing down... Change #3 Our office became Audrey's room! She will be living with us for a bit while she is on her "off" track from BYU-Idaho. She got a great job today at the FIRST place she applied. We are so excited to have her and for her to be able to SAVE SAVE SAVE for school. The girls have already fallen in LOVE with Aunt Audrey, her room, and her stuff. Aimi Lark even managed to walk around in...

Work Swim Party

Yesterday Jake's boss had everyone over for a swim party at his house. Aimi Lark enjoyed jumping off the diving board, Mali Su "sunbathed" and we all had a great time!

Finder's Keepers...

Well today was a day of "finds" Mali Su found her feet and played with them today. She has yet to get them in her mouth but I think that is because her belly gets in the way. This afternoon while waiting for daddy to get home, dinner to be ready, and Aimi Lark and Madilyn to wake up from their nap Mali Su revealed her two bottom teeth to me! Talk about CUTE CUTE CUTE! I cannot believe she has teeth already! Aimi Lark didn't get teeth til almost 10 months! and I have never nursed a baby with teeth before... wish me luck! Well after I posted this I had to add to this post due to the fact that I FOUND Aimi Lark behind the couch eating a glue stick and smelling something awful. Fun times Fun times...

Who needs to buy toys when...

you have momma's shoes and old cell phone? I keep telling Jake the girls need more toys but apparently they are completely satisfied with what they find around the house.

Little bitty pretty one...

Mali Su is changing so fast! With Aimi Lark I felt like I had a "baby" longer because she didn't roll over or sit up til well after 6 months old but here Mali Su is doing all these things so much younger! (4-5 months old) I am glad that Mali Su has Aimi Lark as an example and can learn from her. I love my girls and that they are so close in age. I think we have a budding soccer player on our hands... Mali Su spent yesterday "dribbling" this toy with her feet and thought it was really FUN! Look who can sit up with assistance of the boppy pillow! GO MALI SU!

A quick HAPPY update

GOOD NEWS GOOD NEWS Jake just got off the phone with our insurance and we are excited to have found out that we can appeal to them to have the helmet approved because the helmet is not on the "no appeals" list! NOW we are in the process of appealing and if we are denied twice there is some fund to help out people like us in the army who have been denied things of "medical necessity".... I am so excited and feeling so blessed right now. It will all work out the way it should! Thanks for your prayers! Time is of the essence so we are trying so hard to get it all figured out ASAP! And look who is sleeping in the "ideal" position according to our physical therapist... On her tummy looking to the RIGHT!!!

a funny picture from the other night

Aimi Lark enjoying her first Putt Putt golf experience... (by eating the golf ball)

Climbing is not all I can do...

I can JUMP too!!! Aimi Lark has finally become brave enough to "jump" to us and even helps us count "1, 2, 3eeee" Also don't mind her stopping to "wave" to the camera before her jump... that is her signature move as soon as a camera is pulled out :)

"I'm a BIG KID now"

Aimi Lark has now MASTERED the art of CLIMBING... This weekend we have had two MAJOR climbing incidences. FIRST, On friday I went into her room to get her up from her nap and when I did I found her just about to bail over the side of her crib because she had discovered how to scale the side of it and climb over! Man did my heart skip a beat when I saw her as I walked in the room! So to combat this problem we have switched her and Mali Su's beds. Mali Su is now in the hard sided "real" crib and Aimi Lark is back in the soft sided pack n play and we are hoping that she won't be able scale the soft sides of the pack n play (wish us luck) SECONDLY, Today she was in her high chair having some cookies and I guess she was done with the ones on her tray because I hear a noise in the kitchen and I yell to Jake that I think that sounds like she is on the counter and SURE ENOUGH she had made it from her high chair to the kitchen counter and was helping herself to seconds on...

?

Does anyone ever get the overwhelming feeling of how much you love your job? I really really DO! I love my job as a mother and a wife. I love these two little girls SO MUCH! They truly bring me so much joy and so much happiness. Now YES at times it is a tough job but I have to say that the benefits by far out weigh the bad. These girls give me the best payment everyday and it is their love to me. I know they appreciate me being with them everyday. I LOVE IT! and I am truly grateful to my Heavenly Father for blessing our family with such sweet spirits in our home.

Cute COUSINS!

Yesterday I went to put Aimi Lark down for her nap and came back to get Madilyn to put her down as well and I found Madilyn sitting on the couch next to Mali Su ... LOOK HOW CUTE!!! Giving Kisses: Yep, there is her eye: Aunt Caroline I want the camera:
