ALPINE LOOP (tons of pics)

Nate and Ashley had the wonderful idea to drive and see the colors of fall out in Provo Canyon. So this afternoon we took a drive and we were able to take wonderful family pictures! Jake wanted us to be a BYU family in our pictures so that explains our outfits :) Those who went were... Jake, Caroline, Aimi Lark, Nate, Ashley, Madilyn, Audrey, Luke and his girfriend Kayleen.

yucky sickness!

well our family is a bit ill lately... i have had a "cold" for three/four weeks now and finally went back to the dr. on wednesday b/c my left side felt like i had broken ribs and hurt with every breath and cough like i was being punched in the chest and it turns out the dr. said he thinks i have a mild case of pnemonia and bronchitis... so he gave me an antibiotic and such (but b/c i am pregnant there isn't much you can or would want to do) and how lucky am i that the antibiotic makes me sick! so I spent two days vomitting! fun huh!? well i took my last day of antibiotics today and I am over the vomitting but the ribs and cough and runny nose are still there... hopefully they end soon! but the dr. made sure to tell me that "colds" can last for 8 weeks! isn't he kind? to add to this jake was up last night throwing up and he thinks it is from something he ate. but the good news is that aimi lark shillig has a great immune system and only had this "c...

aimi lark was fascinated by uncle luke shining his boots for school ...

Madilyn and Uncle Jake

once again i cannot change the direction on this computer of luke's... jake babysat madilyn and aimi lark last night while nate and ashley went to a concert and i slept b/c i am SICK! so awfully sick! I wish I was up and around so I could have taken more pics of them but jake set up the video camera on the tripod and used a whole tape so I am excited to watch the non-stop footage...

sickness

my dear sweet daughter has had trouble with vomiting lately... twice now she has fallen asleep in her bed and we find her asleep in vomit... gross i know... we have to get her up and bathe her and so today i decided to photograph the fun... these are upside down but i can't figure out how to rotate them on luke's mac... silly computer!

aimi lark loves cords and strings and so one day she was chewing on the drawstring to a pair of shorts and jake got in on the action... goofy children...

sitting up!

Aimi Lark is now sitting up! she does fall over and backwards often but is doing GREAT! we feel she was a little stunted in her development in AZ and now that she is in a home that is cool and has carpet and where she can ROAM she is changing so much! She is sitting up... scooting a bit... clapping... giving high fives and is just changing so much! We will keep y'all posted!

ultrasound info

hello everyone! quick note! we have had an ultrasound and they said that the baby is far enough along to tell but it turns out this little one was just too ACTIVE for them to be able to tell so we are hoping with our next appt./ultrasound we will be able to find out and let everyone know...

our home!

Our belongings arrived on Saturday! It was an eventful day to say the least. I am still sick so i just sat on a chair on the porch and checked off the boxes checklist as they came in. My dad directed them where to put things. Luke and our friend Eddie helped haul in some of the stuff. We have a HUGE "entertainment center" that is SOLID WOOD. We inherited this from Jake's Grandma Neville. It seperates into two pieces but after much effort they were only able to move up the bottom piece :( Jake and some others are going to try and go up and over the balcony this wkend with the top half because I LOVE THIS PIECE OF FURNITURE SO MUCH! I have been working as hard as possible to unpack everything. Being sick slows down the process quite a bit. I want to get it all done so when jake gets here our home is all put together! I know it is a lofty goal but I set it myself and the other reason is that the boxes are driving me INSANE! I don't do well with a messy home!...

NEWS

we are in PROVO, UTAH and getting settled in as best we can with our few suitcases. Aimi Lark and i are so sick! Jake brought home some "army" cold and those are the WORST! needless to say we do not feel our best. our household goods will be here from MONTEREY, CA... Saturday morning at 10 am. We are so excited because they could have taken all the time in the world! Jake is doing well with what he has left at FT Huachuca. He called yesterday and told me that during formation they called out his name and another guys and two Drill Sgts said that each cycle they are in charge of they choose two soldiers who are squared away and do a GREAT job. Jake was so happy to be one of those two. He received a DS medal. When it was over all the other soldiers were yelling "good job shillig" but not anything to the other guy because they say he is a (how do you say this nicely? i don't know so here it is!) a suck up. I am so proud of jake and his accomplishments! ...

MAJOR UPDATE!

Ok everyone... this will most likely be my last post for awhile because tomorrow I will pick up my dad at the Phoenix airport and we will head up to the great state of UTAH and I don't know when we will get our household goods... The army will first send them to Colorado Springs and THEN to us... SO SMART SOMETIMES the army is :) Well on another note we want to share some exciting news with everyone... We are expecting our second child! Our due date is around Feb. 3, 2008 and YES that does make our babies about 13 months apart but don't worry none because we are DEFINITELY EXCITED! I know everyone has their own personal opinions about this but the only reaction you are ALLOWED to have is EXCITEMENT! We cannot wait to expand our family come FEBRUARY! We are about 19 weeks along now and just found out last WEEK! Here is Aimi Lark and I with a picture of the at home test... When you are nursing a baby and don't have a cycle it is hard to know you are pregnant and as far as the...
