LEAVES!

After the ward party we saw that there were LEAVES everywhere! So we let the girls have some fun... Jake then decided it would be even MORE fun to cover the girls in leaves and then began making it rain leaves for a bit. The girls thought it was funny. Mali Su enjoyed eating the leaves more than being covered in them.

Sarager Ward Party

After Jake's work party we headed over to the Sarager's ward party. Larkie was in charge of setting up and planning everything and she did an AMAZING JOB! We had yummy breadbowls, steaming apple cider, and plenty of fun and games! Other than a little boy as ELMO pushing my girls down OVER AND OVER it was really really fun!

Jake's work party

(girls are "sugarplum fairies" Jake said, Kayla= cowgirl, Audrey= rainbow bright, Caroline= soccer mom, Jake= army guy) Today we were able to visit Jake at work for their Halloween party! When we were all dressed and ready to go we sat on the porch to wait for Jake to pick us up. Kayla was blowing bubbles for Aimi Lark when all of a sudden Aimi Lark threw up all over! So instead of a monkey and a turtle they wore their dress-ups from their Aunt Delaney. I think they look adorable :) Aimi Lark signed candy at every office! It was really funny to see her get a piece of candy and have no desire to keep going. I think by the end she had it down. The girls LOVED suckers and just kept wanting each others.

letting the cat out of the bag...

So the plan was to tell people sometime after our first official OB appointment but after learning that my husband has been telling friends and "random" people I decided it was better the world found out from US than from her who found out from him who found out from them. So without further a-do we are letting y'all know that we are expecting BABY #3! We will know more about a due date and such on Monday. stay tuned for updates...

A day at the PARK

Today we headed to the park for playgroup. We brought bubbles to share and had a great time. Aimi Lark found some older kid friends who's mom let her read their books and carry around their backpack. She then discovered that playing in the sand with Peter and Benjamin was more fun. We have never stayed at the park for so long! I think it exhausted her because she has been asleep since 530pm!

Pop-tarts

for breakfast, lunch, and dinner! That is the way my girls would have it if they could! I love the healthy pop-tarts at Costco and so do my girls! Today I thought they were hilarious as they both ate a pop-tart for a snack.

Today...

Today I tried out the video feature of my new digital camera. I heard the girls giggling in their room and found them playing like this... OH and turn up your speakers because my new digital camera records SOUND!! After Aimi Lark's nap she decided to lay on the couch with her baby where I had been napping. Daddy made steaks again for dinner and Aimi Lark of course had to help... Jake surprised me today by bringing home a bale of hay! I have wanted one for the Halloween party pictures! What a sweet husband I have! Aimi Lark tried holding Mali Su on the hay bale but ended up with her in a choke hold, oops.

Grandma Sellers and T-shirt dresses...

When I think of my Grandma Sellers one of the many things I think about is how she ALWAYS made me t-shirt dresses! I loved picking out the fabric for the skirt part and the iron on for the t-shirt part. I remember for my first day of kindergarten I wore a Grandma Sellers original t-shirt dress! The dress had an iron on hot air balloon and coming out it said in a talk bubble, "Hi! My name is Caroline!" I remember feeling so special in that dress! I loved that tonight Mali Su was wearing a t-shirt dress! I really need to take the time to learn to make these so that I can pass this on to my girls.

Lil' Gym Halloween Party!

Tonight we went with the Keeton family for FHE to the Lil' Gym's Halloween party. We were one of the first 50 people there and got free Jamba Juices. Aimi Lark enjoyed the balance beam and the games. She kept cutting in line just to play and had no interest in the candy they were handing out because she was so focused on PLAYING! After the Lil' Gym we headed over to the Keeton parents' house for dinner. It was a great night! I love the girls' Halloween outfits from their Mia... look at Mali Su's T-shirt dress! and Aimi Lark candy corn pants!

in much need of a shower

I tried to get Aimi Lark to watch TV. This is something she has ZERO interest in! (I don't think she has the TV Shillig gene) Mali Su was napping and Aimi Lark was needy and even though I got out my favorite Disney movie EVER, TOY STORY, she was not interested. Look at her face as she laughs at me for even trying to sneak away to take a shower!

Trying out the new camera

Today I tried to get a picture of Aimi Lark and I together but she decided to be aloof...

HAPPY early birthday to me!

My mama bought me an amazing birthday gift that I have wanted and needed for awhile now... a new digital camera!!! I am so excited to get it all charged up and start taking pictures! Thanks mama!

Friday night dinner...

On Friday night we had the most enjoyable time! We invited some friends that were all somehow interconnected on a big group date! We ended up having more people than expected (which was great) and it caused us to fit 12 adults and 4 high chairs at a 10 person table! It made for sitting close and even better conversation! Jake and I felt like we were on a date because somehow our kids all ended up at the end of the table on each side of Uncle Seth! I also found out that I love CARRABA'S! Thanks everyone for such a great night! After dinner the girls let out some pent up energy by playing in the bed of the truck. Look at Aimi Lark jumping up and down! Thanks everyone who came! I am up for another night out whenever y'all would like!

Sugar Cookies!

For playgroup last week we had everyone over to decorate sugar cookies! My cookies were a bit strange due to the fact that I only grind wheat to use as flour but I think with icing and sprinkles they were edible. Here is Aimi Lark with her cookie (thanks Tiffany for making her smile!) Mali Su napped the ENTIRE playgroup!

22 Months old TODAY!

Aimi Lark is two months shy of TWO years old! She is TWENTY-TWO months old today! Today she did so great at church. I wanted to share some of her cute moments. When they sang a hymn during sacrament she began to do all the hand motions to every song she knows (popcorn popping, head/shoulders/knees & toes, clapping, a popcorn ball that smells so sweet, and of course her favorite directing the music along with the conductor) and I think it was the funniest thing I have ever seen! Aimi Lark is at a stage where she is watching and copying everything we do. It is adorable to see her take on things that we do. (Aimi Lark helping daddy prepare steaks for dinner) *She can now open all my make-up compacts and has fun applying make-up to her eyes and cheeks. *A bit ago she found some of my dangling earrings and kept trying to hang them from her ears. (here she is with Aunt Kaylene's earrings) *Head, shoulders, knees and toes is her FAVORITE song and she is really good at the head...

Helper

Last night while Jake and I were in the living room watching a movie the girls were in their room playing. We were enjoying the background noise of them talking and laughing and the occasional living room visit from Aimi Lark to give us kisses. Well a bit later we hear the kitchen drawer with the wipes open and the sound of the plastic wipes package. I tell Jake "she has the wipes" and he jumps up to make sure she isn't going to empty them. He goes into their room to find her cleaning up spit up, from Mali Su, off the hardwood floor in their room with a wipe! Talk about adorable! Such a helper wanting to clean up her sister's spit up! Jake then took over of course and left Aimi Lark to clean the already clean floor. This is not the first time we have caught her with a wipe "cleaning" the walls, windows, floors, etc. She is learning so much!

Thirsty?

why wait? The girls enjoying some much needed hydration after a morning of playing.

Who needs Avon...

When you have YOGURT! Aimi Lark has discovered the FOUNTAIN of YOUTH . Just look at her smooth skin. Her secret you ask? A creamy strawberry YOGURT mask.

another successful OFFICE night!

The Saragers brought over PUMPKINS to carve while watching the OFFICE! Talk about an amazing time! Thanks SARAGER FAMILY!

E-Su and bottles...

"E-Su" is Aimi Lark's new name for Mali Su. She started calling her this about two days ago. We LOVE it. Mali Su on the other hand may have found a bottle she likes more. After many tries Aunt Larkie brought over some of Jordan's old bottles for us to try and Mali Su did well with the one above. She actually only does well with any bottle if I feed her. I have to place the nipple of the bottle in her mouth just right otherwise she begins to use it as a chew toy. I think I have it down but only time will tell.

no longer a baby but a little girl...

Last night as I held Aimi Lark to comfort her I felt something I had never felt before. As I felt this, a touch of sadness came over me as I realized in my arms I was not holding a baby but a little girl . I know that she is growing up but I never expected it to come so suddenly and without warning. I love my Aimi Lark and I am looking forward to every stage of her life I enjoy with her and I am trying my best to enjoy the journey. Me with Aimi Lark (abt 2 months) at the Monterey Bay Aquarium February 2007

We have officially VOTED!

Jake's ballot is making its way to California and he voted YES on Prop 8! Caroline's ballot is on its way to the great state of Texas! Now everyone it is YOUR turn! There is still time to make your vote count!

Halloween Pictures 2008

We took our girls tonight to Portrait Innovations for their Halloween pictures. I LOVE their costumes this year and the quality of the scanning isn't the best but you get to see our CUTE monkey and ADORABLE turtle! Aimi Lark will be 22 months on the 26th and Mali Su will be 9 months on the 1st
