Potty Time!

Jake has wanted to potty train Aimi Lark since she was about a YEAR old! I have been able to put him off until this weekend. He tried so hard to potty train her on Saturday and Sunday but I think until she can cognitively understand what is happening we are up a creek. Jake also told me he had to find her the BEST and most FUN potty so she would LOVE to go on it. Here are some pictures of his efforts...(this is the face Aimi Lark did to imitate Jake's face as he tried to express to her how to go #2)

    So funny!!! We just bought a potty this weekend too. We aren't going to try yet. Just have it out and in sight so she can get used to it. Great minds think alike! We bought a pink one, but I thought the one you bought was adorable!!

    that is really funny. As much as I love Jake, tell him he is gunna have to wait. I am telling you, until the child is ready, seriously it is more stress than it is worth!!! Good luck!

20 Weeks

Today we had the opportunity to go in for our 20 week ultrasound. We are excited to announce that baby #3 is a healthy BOY! We are excited but have to admit we are a bit nervous. Change is hard and after two girls this is definitely a change. It will be a fun and wonderful experience. I have already thought about little boy ACUs and PT clothes (little army clothes) and what I will decorate the "boy" room in etc. I have always heard boys are "easier" but more rambunctious so I guess we will just have to see. I was excited that during the ultrasound our little boy was crossing his legs at the ankle like both his sisters do! So funny! We will keep y'all posted on names and other developments.

Halloween 2023

 We pulled off our best Halloween!  Possibly ever!  Jake had a vision and it came true beautifully.  He even had the cutest song he sang.  I loved our last Halloween in our Hurst home.

sometimes life may get you down

but then you remember how wonderful you husband is and it makes it all ok. Jake surprised me by ordering these gorgeous handmade pearl earrings from TINY STORM for me for Christmas and they were waiting for us with all our mail when we arrived back home after vacation. He got down on one knee and presented me with these earrings and it brought tears to my eyes. I am so grateful to have such a wonderful, hardworking, and loving husband who is always there to take care of me and love me when I am having a rough time. Thank you Jacob!
