"Do Push-UPs"

If you don't already know, we do push-ups around here. Not as often as we used to but we still do them from time to time. Well not so much me, the boys joke that I do "cobras" but for awhile there I was doing some GOOD push-ups, I'll have y'all know. But back to the point. Talking back and such could land you with 10 push-ups. Doing something without using your brain first could cause me to say, "10 push-ups." Well you get the point. So the kids have caught on to this and like to do their own push-ups from time to time. Today I scolded Jake for a comment and told him to do push-ups. Well we then see MALACHI doing push-ups and before long they are all doing Jake's push-ups for him. Fun times had by all I tell ya.

Making Friends

Today we met up with a friend that I made at church, Gretchen. She invited us to come swimming. We had a blast and it was fun for me to see Lake Nona and the area out that way. My kids have never swam for so long it seems without complaints. We were there a good 3 hours. I did end up in the pool twice saving kids. Malachi did a head dive in after a toy and Aimi Lark fell off her paddle board without a life jacket and was treading water pretty well til I jumped in to rescue her. The pool felt fantastic! Thanks Henderson Family for having us!

Nana's Flowers

We sent Nana some flowers for her 80th birthday on the 23rd of September and tonight my Uncle Steve emailed me some wonderful pictures. My Nana sent me a dozen roses on my 16th birthday. She tried sending them to my school but the florist didn't cooperate so they brought them to my house that evening. Nana got these a day late due to some delivery issues but all that matters on both occasions was that we both got our beautiful flowers! We love you Nana!

I can't stop reading/watching

THIS The broadcast from the General Relief Society Meeting. I am watching the broadcast in bits and pieces. I totally forgot about it on Saturday, I love technology, it is allowing me to catch-up. I get to catch-up between meal times, when I'm not breaking up kid fights, and any other spare moment I can find. So far this highlight is my absolute favorite. My dear sisters, each of you is unique. You are different from each other in many ways. There are those of you who are married. Some of you stay at home with your children, while others of you work outside your homes. Some of you are empty-nesters. There are those of you who are married but do not have children. There are those who are divorced, those who are widowed. Many of you are single women. Some of you have college degrees; some of you do not. There are those who can afford the latest fashions and those who are lucky to have one appropriate Sunday outfit. Such differences are almost endless. Do these differences tempt us to...

I'm enjoying our "vacation"

and I'm not talking about where we live and all the stuff that comes along with that. I'm talking about Jake not working and being home with us every day. Yes he is studying every day but he is HERE! I feel like I reevaluate our budget every week and every week is sinks in a little more. Living on savings is hard, but when the alternative is for Jake to work at a job that makes no where close to what he made before it is not worth it to me. I'd rather have him HERE. I told him I could live like this through all of law school, I know it isn't possible, but I honestly could. So I'll just soak it up for the next four months til he leaves for training in the great state of TX. Then while he is making a paycheck again I'll save like mad to maybe have him home with us some more after training. Also, in the back of my mind I know a deployment is a real possibility. He is no longer in ROTC which means he is deployable anytime after his TX training. I don't want to f...

WDW Animal Kingdom

Today at 9:16AM Jake announced to me from where he was studying that he was done. He only had one class tonight and he was studied up for it. His next question to me was what should we do today? I about tackled him I was so excited, a whole unexpected day with my husband not studying, I love good surprises! I knew we were thinking the same thing... WDW Animal Kingdom We met RAFIKI (Mali Su wasn't a fan) Malachi kept hitting at him, but RAFIKI didn't even notice. We petted goats and lambs and even got to brush their coats. Malachi walked back and forth from this Rhino to a Tiger giving them kisses OVER and OVER again. Jake's highlight of the day by far. I found Aimi Lark on one of the interactive phones, she told me she was talking to Nana. POCAHONTAS was there! She was amazing. Maybe my favorite character so far. She was so sweet to the girls and even caught Malachi when he came running into her lap! Jake taught us to say "wingapo" and "a-na" (hello...

Aimi Lark is 3 Years and 9 Months old

She is our adventurous, caring girl. She is so complimentary and kind. She tells us how nice we are and how handsome Jake is. She asks all kinds of questions and is at the "why" stage. She is also in the "talk a lot" stage. I am doing my best to answer all her questions. I love her excitement for church and her happiness for life. I love her hugs, kisses, and cuddles. The way she will lay her head on you or run to you excitedly for a hug. I love when she puts my face in her hands and smiles at me and gives me a kiss or tells me I'm pretty or nice. I love my dear sweet Aimi Lark, I love her.

Jake and law school

I love hearing him talk about it. He gets so excited about it. He really enjoys what he is studying. It is not boring like he thought it would be. He gets to study everyday for class so he is always prepared. I'm so proud of him. It is so nice to be so proud of your husband's hard work. Props to all the hard working husbands out there! Cocoa Beach, FL

Malachi wanted to chase the birds and the boys wanted to surf and snorkel.  I wasn't expecting to capture this picture but did and love it of myself, only because at this moment Mali Su is excitedly running to me with a big smile on her face to mirror mine.  She then plopped her sandy little body into my non-sandy lap, I don't mind because I love the beach AND my kids!  Malachi found himself a little bikini clad girl about his age.  Already making lady friends I guess.  Mali Su was hesitant of the water at first and spent the beginning of her time digging in the sang and from time to time giving herself a sandy facial.  Aimi Lark LOVED the waves pulling her to and fro.  She would laugh and laugh and tell me that she floated!     Malachi discovered the beach fully for the first time today. He would run and throw himself in the water and splash about. All the while we are saving him from inhaling too much water when a wave would knock hi...

The Happiest Place on Earth!

(detailed Disney account) We had a spectacular day. I first took Beau to the doctor for his necessary physical for school/sports and then dropped him back off at school. Jake and I have been doing our research on Florida resident annual passes to Disney World. I've read online, I've called, and everyone has told me what's online is what there is, in their most helpful/happy voices.  Well Jake was at school last night and a guy there works selling tickets to all the local venues/events at a discount.  He told us the route we were taking to buy was a smart one.  He did give Jake the tip to check out " Shades of Green" (the military hotel on site at Disney) to see what offers they might have as well.  I called "Shades of Green" and was told they sold the same tickets as Disney.  I asked if they offered any other military discount on the tickets and she said, "No."  Then I asked what the prices were and sure enough they were cheaper!  We were so e...
