Daytona Beach

They boast not only a humongous speedway
but also their sign says
"World's Most Famous Beach"
FL and their "World's Most..."

Jake LOVED this beach. 
He is one who gets VERY excited about things.
Being able to DRIVE on the beach brought him total and complete JOY.
We had a blast at the beach.

We surfed,
(the above picture just might be my favorite of all time)

(Beau hurt his shoulder surfing and the pictures is upside down still after flipping it, oh well)
built sand castles under our umbrella,


ate pizza for lunch,
snorkeled,
and enjoyed a perfect day at the beach.


Aimi Lark loved the water, chasing the birds, and told Uncle Beau that she "Surfed on his snowboard."

Jake asked Mali Su if she wanted to go in the water with him.  Within a matter of seconds she had jumped in the van and closed both sliding doors with the push of a button.  She stayed in there til she was sure the coast was clear.
Malachi also loves the beach.  No tears from him.  Just maybe some salt water in his eyes.
Daytona, we really like you.
No toll roads to get to you, we can drive and park on the nice beach for $5, and you have nice waves and sand.
We'll probably be back soon.

    Luke and I were looking at your blog and we miss you guys so much. Luke is also somewhat jealous of where you guys are living. It looks beautiful, and I'm so glad you were able to get a nice rental.

20 Weeks

Today we had the opportunity to go in for our 20 week ultrasound. We are excited to announce that baby #3 is a healthy BOY! We are excited but have to admit we are a bit nervous. Change is hard and after two girls this is definitely a change. It will be a fun and wonderful experience. I have already thought about little boy ACUs and PT clothes (little army clothes) and what I will decorate the "boy" room in etc. I have always heard boys are "easier" but more rambunctious so I guess we will just have to see. I was excited that during the ultrasound our little boy was crossing his legs at the ankle like both his sisters do! So funny! We will keep y'all posted on names and other developments.

Halloween 2023

 We pulled off our best Halloween!  Possibly ever!  Jake had a vision and it came true beautifully.  He even had the cutest song he sang.  I loved our last Halloween in our Hurst home.

sometimes life may get you down

but then you remember how wonderful you husband is and it makes it all ok. Jake surprised me by ordering these gorgeous handmade pearl earrings from TINY STORM for me for Christmas and they were waiting for us with all our mail when we arrived back home after vacation. He got down on one knee and presented me with these earrings and it brought tears to my eyes. I am so grateful to have such a wonderful, hardworking, and loving husband who is always there to take care of me and love me when I am having a rough time. Thank you Jacob!
