Solomon is 12 Weeks

Solomon is so lucky, he gets to be my buddy for all of my outings, including girls' nights. This is his friend, Russell, from church.  My back starts to hurt from lugging him around at church.  I am contemplating pushing him around in a stroller or putting him in a pack.  He's just a bit heavy and nowadays I can't switch off with Jake. He's wearing 12 month clothes already and he is looking pretty stylish these days thanks to his friend Sawyer Chaz sharing his clothes.  He rolled over from his back to his tummy with help from that pillow he had been laying on.  I love how practical our house is with all tile floors but for babies I sure miss carpet.  He LOVES kicking around in bed with us.  He will just stare at the fan and the ceiling.  He is a mover and a noise maker. His hair seems to have a little wave to it. I kiss on him a ton. I still love his little nose and wonder just what color blue his eyes will end up.

While Joby was off getting stitches,

we came home and played dress-up. Mia and Joby were in and out two and a half hours later with 6 stitches in Joby's knee.

Cars 2

Some may think we're crazy, actually most probably think that, but we're a family oriented bunch.  We saw our first "real 3-D" and I was impressed.  I always thought the old 3-D was kinda lame since it barely came out of the screen.  This still isn't coming right at you like Disney 3-D shows, but it's getting better. Kids in these glasses are the best!  Malachi ALWAYS puts glasses on upside down, always.  Delaney lost her other front tooth this week.  She was eating a cinnamon roll, felt it loosen, went in the bathroom and pulled it out and it fell right down the drain.  Good thing the tooth fairy accepts notes.  I'm loving all this Florida rain, and so are the kids.  They can find every single puddle in the parking lot. Thank-you Living Social (and Katie for the tip) for your coupon of 2 tickets for $9 or this wouldn't have been possible.

Joby cut his knee

So I'm just chillin' in the ER parking lot with my kids til he's all fixed up. Look at That cute boy who's happy to be free to kick and wiggle and eat.

Church

Oldest 3 Kids slept in. I laid in bed with a Smiley kicking Solomon who got up at 5:50AM. I bathed the kids And got everyone ready. We were late but happy. Well except Mali su who didn't finish her picture in primary and once again wanted to steal the red/orange crayon.

Yum

Jake may have IN N OUT and the Bellagio buffet in Vegas, but I've got 4 kids and Chipotle to go (thanks Katie). Who am I kidding,  I'm totally envious.

From the Home Front

My kids must REALLY love me. We've had a great day. We slept in. At 9AM I decided to get everyone ready to head to the gym.  In my "perfect" world we were hoping to make a weight class at 9:30AM.  I realized that wasn't likely at around 9:14 when I still hadn't dressed all my children or myself. 9:22AM all kids dressed with hair fixed and loaded up in the car.  I run back in to get the kids some pop tarts. 9:24AM we're driving to the gym. 9:32AM we're at the gym and parked.  I decide to feed Solomon in the car "just in case." We get in the gym and Solomon needs to bed fed, seriously son? 9:50AM I'm finally able to start working out.  No weight class but still a great workout. 11:30AM I pick up the kids and Mali Su (like always) hasn't finished her picture and is trying her hardest to smuggle out an orange/red crayon.  Deep down I just wanted to let her take it, I mean they have an entire bucket of crayons and I'm solo with four kids, ...

"I love to see the Temple..."

Jake just sent me this picture from when they went to the Las Vegas LDS Temple today. I'm overcome with such wonderful and joyous feelings. I married into a great family. I am so glad Jake is able to be in Nevada with them this weekend. I am so grateful I listened to my Bishop and married a man who's family has "roots" in the church.

5 Kids + 1 Infant

Jake's good at getting creative to keep them entertained. Movies, wrestling, reading books, finger painting, swimming, and anything else we can think of. It's busy, but we can handle it.
I joined a gym.  I finally found one here close that includes childcare in the rate.  All I had previously found were charging an arm and a leg for childcare.  I'm excited, the kids like it, but I feel like Bambi just learning to walk.  I'm not naturally athletic so it's hard to start over when before I got pregnant with Solomon I was finally feeling somewhat athletic.  I'll get there again, I just know it will take time. I love living near our church building.  LOVE IT.  Especially with Jake's new bishopric calling it majorly helps him to be able to be at home with us until the last possible minute.  Plus, it saves gas, not that we walk very often, but if needed we can. Driving home last night the kids got to watch the Sea World fireworks from the car at each red light.  I love where we live.  Fireworks almost every night of the week, just down the road. I'm looking forward to Jake having an XBOX again (and us a TV we don't have to b...

Malachi's First Sentence

It's a little silly, but he's making progress from his normal one syllable cave-man style of talking. Yes, he's still without a haircut.  I'm hoping to donate it at some point because I don't see a haircut anywhere in sight.

11 weeks 1 day

And mia weighed him in at 18.4 this week.

Perfection

I'm realizing more and more that I prefer water to snow, and that I'd rather be hot than cold.

Popsicles @ the Park

I'm hoping this equals some worn out children for bedtime after much needed baths. Solomon and I are sitting and enjoying the breeze. I'm secretly hoping for it to rain.  I love to play in the rain and I think the kids would too.
