Travels

Bahamas We took a cruise when living in Florida.  Jake learned he was not a fan of cruises and their small staterooms.  Chile This has been my most favorite trip of all.  We went back to Jake's mission.  The people, the food, the scenery, and overall experience couldn't be beat.  China We have been so many times and to so many cities, but this part of the wall where it goes into the sea was my favorite.  I asked Jake to take me to where the Great Wall meets the sea, and he delivered!  England This was SO MUCH FUN!  This was my first, first-class international flight.  I was impressed to say the least.  We got to see the fireworks over the River Thames and take the tubes all over town.  France We spent our honeymoon at the Paris Hotel in Las Vegas and we always said we'd someday go to the real thing, and we did!  It may have taken us til our 14th wedding anniversary, but it was worth the impromptu, fir...

Mali Su as Rapunzel

# malisusie  LOVES theater  🎭  & it fits her to a T. I was never a thespian myself (besides that sophomore year drama class for my fine arts credit, but I mainly remember watching Ben Hur) so this is all Greek to me. Amazon for a dress  ✔️  Walmart for fake hair flowers  ✔️  Tom Thumb for real flowers  ✔️ makeup applications  ✔️  Chipotle between shows  ✔️   # phew   # wedidit # andjustlikeherlastshow   # armyhasjake Above is my Facebook/Instagram post. I am so grateful that my kids have dabbled in a little bit of everything.  I prefer well-rounded kids to burnt out of one thing kids. I just read her little paper they had posted and saw she thanked me. I am so grateful my kids know that me being their "chauffeur" isn't a given and to be grateful for it. I love them and love them doing things they want to try out. Next year Aimi Lark wants to audition, too. If we are honest, I am more excited f...

Magnolia with the Doyle and Robinson Families

Jen mentioned she wanted to visit Magnolia (and we know I am always up for going) and since Kayla hadn't been either we made a plan!  It was as fabulous as always.  It's just so low-key that it's perfect. I kept saying all day who "wholesome" Magnolia felt. When I got home I looked up the definition, and sure enough, it fits! "conducive to or suggestive of good health and physical well-being- conducive to or promoting moral well-being" One of these days Daddy won't be working so he can come, too. We miss him when we have this much fun! Well, we miss him always, but even more when we are doing things like this.

Ada's Baby Blessing

Ada was given a name and a blessing at our church building. She was blessed by her Uncle Jake. Her cousin-in-law Josh stood in the circle as well as her Dad who was holding the microphone. She didn't cry a bit. She was blessed to do a great many things.  I know that her Heavenly Father loves her so very much. I am so grateful to have her in our family.
