Some Phone Photos

The girls had HAT day at school for "say no to bullying and drugs" week at school.  They represented with a little BYU Cougar pride.  We have started the college brainwashing early.  I loved seeing Hogwarts from Harry Potter with our friend Heidi while she was in town.  We even got to surf with her!  Solomon is my needy baby boy.  He will cling on my legs, ask for a hug, ask for a kiss, ask for me to hold him.  It is sometimes so hard to get ready on Sundays like this.  He cracks us up when he says, "Actually," no or yes when he changes his mind.  The girls had sunglasses day that week as well.  We went down to our local pumpkin patch (Wal-Mart) for some reasonably priced $3.50 pumpkins.  We had our first chilly day and it was wear red day so we busted out the snowman long sleeve shirts.  They wore them with shorts, we are still in Florida.  Our 6 month ophthalmology appointments are always exh...

Ward Trunk or Treat Halloween Party

Jake watched over the kids as they ate while I ran to get candy to pass out.  No children were dirty when we returned!  He kept them from being covered in chili or kool-aid.  My Mom sent me and Jake a costume to wear.  He was Cesar and I was Cleopatra.  Neither of us had the hair for the part but loved our costumes. When I would talk to Iron Man (Solomon) he would answer me in a deep voice as if he was talking like the REAL Iron Man.   We found Mali Su covered in chocolate cupcake icing and she was trying to lick it off herself instead of asking for help to clean up. The kids all had so much fun running around and playing with their friends.  I loved it!

Luke Bryan/Florida Georgia Line Concert

Earlier this year I had Jake listen to a song I really liked as we drove home from Drill.  I remember turning it up and we "cruised."  Just like the title of the song, "Cruise" by Florida Georgia Line and I was hooked.  I remember also telling Katie I wanted to go to a concert of theirs if they were ever in town.  Well my dream came true (and hers too, she loves Luke Bryan).  It was a great night and we made sure to stop by and have some Five Guys (burgers and fries) per tradition.  These nights are so fun and I have such a sweet husband who takes the kids to a Halloween night at the elementary school while I'm gone and emails me this picture at the concert.   My kids love Daddy time!

Visitors the Last 2 Weeks

Sometimes back to back visitors make you feel like this: Have I ever told y'all Mali Su is like her mother and loves her sleep?   Well she does, but back to my point. Visitors bring the vacation to you. You go and you see and you do and then they leave and you recover. It is WONDERFUL! We love our dear friends and family to visit when and if they can.  Just a  little PSA  (public service announcement)  Jake graduates May 10, 2014 and we finish up in Orlando that August so if you have wanted to see the great state of Florida and party with us, this is your chance!

Daytona Beach (during Bike week) with Heidi

I have attended Daytona Bike week two years in a row!!!  (with out of town guests, unintentionally & in a mini-van).   The three older kids went right in the water and had a blast.  We got there about two hours before closing so we were trying to make the most of it. The girls jumped waves for what seemed like hours.  They would get so excited and laugh as they were brought to shore with the wave when they fell. Solomon never gets in the water and usually cries when I go and wade in to take pictures and leave him on dry sand.  Since he doesn't usually get in and we were on a time constraint I forgot to put his swimsuit on him. He got in the water. His diaper filled with salt water to capacity. Mali Su ended up with some pieces of hair in the front mysteriously cut awhile back.  They had grown out really well and then as she headed out the door to school the other day I saw it.  She said she didn't want bangs s...
