Recently Mali Su came home with some notepads like this one. She and Aimi Lark filled them with "secret codes" and such. I found out she traded my mints off my desk for them at school. I talked to her about how that is stealing even though yes, they can eat them but it was taking without my permission. I had all these fears of her taking more stuff to TRADE her friends at school for. Then I pictured one of my favorite movies Little Women and Amy wanting limes for school, now where was I...
Mali Su brought one of these little notepads to Disney with us to get autographs in. She was so excited about this. She even ran up to a character on the street who wasn't an actual character so no autograph. We forgot to ask Stitch and so when she saw these three she was so excited! The rest of the crew went to ride a ride but she and I waited in line to meet them, the stepmother and stepsisters from Cinderella, and get their autographs.
I was so happy! So was Mali Su!
I have loved these gals characters since the first time I saw them in a parade. They play their roles spot on!
I love the moments I have with my children individually, it's so great to bond with them this way, even if for a brief moment in time.
This smart girl was recently moved into a class for high performing kindergartners and 1st graders who need a little more help. I am hoping it fulfills her in the way she needs. She gets frustrated when she loses privileges because of the "bad" kids.
She still loves animals and even at Disney I had to try and keep her from chasing ducks (even though she couldn't resist).
She is SO BRAVE!
