"TRICK OR TREAT!"

The girls napped late on Halloween and woke up finally around 6:30PM (so we missed our ward trunk or treat) and we headed to the Sarager's house to trick or treat door to door. Their neighborhood was perfect. Just about every house handed out treats and some gave full size candy bars and cokes! Mali Su cracked us up. Jake would tell her to go get candy and she and Aimi Lark would both yell, "I'll go get it!" Mali Su had a few times where she just sat down on the sidewalk and wouldn't budge, she can be quite defiant these days. Mali Su also perfected getting more than one piece of candy at each door. She wore a back pack (that towards the end of the night was so heavy she was about to fall over backwards) and didn't realize that people would put the candy in her back pack so she stood there til they put a piece in her hand as well. Also if they let her pick her own candy she was known for getting one or even two handfuls. I enjoyed spending time wit...

Baptism Day

Saturday (Halloween) morning we had the opportunity as a family to attend a baptism for Craig who lives across the street from us. I think it was wonderful for the girls and Brody to see what a baptismal service is like. The girls were busy bees and it was hard to keep them under control. Aimi Lark kept pretending she was a baby and Mali Su ate a few crayons. After the baptism we shopped at Costco and then had the missionaries over to share with Brody. (above are the elders over one night last week for dinner) We were also able to spend time with Luke and Kaylene while they did their laundry. Jake made us all steaks for lunch/dinner and the girls FINALLY napped around 4pm. Saturdays really are a special day.

Family Halloween Party

This year we had a wonderful Halloween Party at Alyssa Neeley Hill's grandparents' house. She is from Jake's hometown and so is her husband Shaun. They were a cute Elvis/jail mate couple. We had a wonderful turn-out. We played games, ate food, and even had a costume contest. Troy (Josh's friend/mission companion/roommate) won scariest, Ken (Josh) and Kayla (Barbie) won best couple, Noah's Ark (us) won best group, Audrey (Wayne's World) won funniest costume, Juno characters (Seth and Larkie ) won most original, and the rocker family ( Shillig 5s) won best overall. Jake handed out prizes (that he picked out) in his Noah costume. Jake loved spouting off crazy rantings and ravings while wearing his beard. We played some fun games and enjoyed seeing everyone. Aimi Lark was super excited because Uncle Nate brought cousin Madilyn for her to play with. Earlier in the day I told Aimi Lark about the party and she asked if Madilyn would be there and I ...

Malachi's 5 Month Check-Up

At Malachi's 5 month well-baby appointment today our Doctor's office was out of suckers so the girls found other ways to entertain themselves, they played with all the medical equipment. We saw a new lady doctor in our family practice office. She was great and I really liked her. Malachi was off the charts in all areas of his size for his age. Weight: 21.8lbs Height: 27.5 inches Head: 45cm

Jake's Work Party

Once a year families are allowed to visit at Jake's work. BUT on Halloween we get to all come and trick or treat. Some of the offices were scary and others were fun. We enjoyed spending time with Jake at work before he had to rush off and take a quiz in History 221 (he spent 4 hours straight last night reading the book). HAPPY HALLOWEEN!

Playgroup Costume Party

Today playgroup was over here and we had a ton of little ones all decked out in costumes for the party! Here is a picture of some of the kiddos. This wasn't even everyone! Thanks everyone for a great party!

I am excited for a few reasons.

1. We woke up to a freezing cold house this morning so Jake took all the summer clothes I bagged up on Sunday to storage and brought in the girls' snow clothes. I am so excited to say that I love that kids get taller and slimmer b/c the girls' snow clothes fit better this year than they did last year. I do not have to buy new clothes! And to add...the snow suit Mali Su is wearing is seeing it's 3rd winter with our family! Aimi Lark-December 2007 Mali Su -January 2009 October 2009 (notice the mittens moved from Mali Su's feet to her hands) Jake swaddled Malachi to keep him warm but Malachi still isn't a fan of being swaddled. 2. Brody came home and told me they are predicting snow tomorrow. I normally would not be excited for snow before Halloween but because Brody is so excited (and we already got him a sled) and I know the girls are old enough to enjoy it I AM EXCITED for snow! 3. Jake has a great study pal for this upcoming Spanish test. This is his harde...

2 years and 10 months old

Aimi Lark was hollering my name over and over from her bed the other morning. I was feeding Malachi so after about the 30th time she yelled "MOMMY" I ran in and she was completely asleep and I asked her "What's wrong?" and she responded, "The cat took my eggs." I guess she was having a bad dream?? She is finally eating bananas! Before she just played with the banana peel but now she eats the banana and then plays with the peel and will even put the peel in the trash! Aimi Lark has started being willing to pray for the food herself. She will say something along the lines of "Heavenly Father, food, some soft mumbling followed by her whispering Amen." Whenever I am working out on the incline trainer in the playroom she will come in and say "GO MOMMY GO" or "You doin' it Mommy!" I love the encouragement. When she takes a bath I always say, "Don't drink the water" and she responds back "I a fishy Mom...
