Sense of Direction

Aimi Lark has always been good with recognizing directions and where we are while driving. Jake says she has her mother's sense of direction. Some examples are:

-We were going to the Sarager's house (I didn't tell her this) but I passed their road by mistake and Aimi Lark yells from the back "Ona go to Larkie house! Larkie, Jordan, Seth"

-Her new favorite place to go is CHURCH. When we go around the round-about by our house and do not go straight through (towards church) she yells "Ona go to church, Mommy!"

-But this one is her newest and the best... Whenever we are out and about and begin to head home (somehow she can tell) she starts to say "I not sad, I happy" or "I not tired." This stems from the fact that we have naps every day after getting home from taking Jake to school. She has now equated going home with sleeping. She starts convincing us that "I not sad, I happy" as soon as she realizing we are on our way home.

Aimi Lark we love you!

Oh and one last thing while talking about her good sense of direction. The other night we were at the Keeton's house, Marlyse walks past the dark bathroom and asks me if I knew Aimi Lark was on the potty? I said NO but was impressed to go in and find her on the big potty going all by herself! She did this again later in the evening. No asking, prodding, or anything...she just found the bathroom and went! THANK YOU!

20 Weeks

Today we had the opportunity to go in for our 20 week ultrasound. We are excited to announce that baby #3 is a healthy BOY! We are excited but have to admit we are a bit nervous. Change is hard and after two girls this is definitely a change. It will be a fun and wonderful experience. I have already thought about little boy ACUs and PT clothes (little army clothes) and what I will decorate the "boy" room in etc. I have always heard boys are "easier" but more rambunctious so I guess we will just have to see. I was excited that during the ultrasound our little boy was crossing his legs at the ankle like both his sisters do! So funny! We will keep y'all posted on names and other developments.

Halloween 2023

We pulled off our best Halloween!  Possibly ever!  Jake had a vision and it came true beautifully.  He even had the cutest song he sang.  I loved our last Halloween in our Hurst home.

sometimes life may get you down

but then you remember how wonderful you husband is and it makes it all ok. Jake surprised me by ordering these gorgeous handmade pearl earrings from TINY STORM for me for Christmas and they were waiting for us with all our mail when we arrived back home after vacation. He got down on one knee and presented me with these earrings and it brought tears to my eyes. I am so grateful to have such a wonderful, hardworking, and loving husband who is always there to take care of me and love me when I am having a rough time. Thank you Jacob!
