Treadmill Fund



A little while ago on Facebook (a global social networking website) I put a status update about how I wanted a treadmill and that I should start a "treadmill fund" (I was trying to be funny). Well yesterday in the mail came the sweetest card from (my 1st cousin once removed) Monica and her husband Benny. They generously sent $ for my "fund!" When I opened the card and handed it to Jake he said "We are getting you a treadmill today!" He let me know he was going to get me one for my birthday and I think that Monica and Benny just put icing on the cake! Thank you to Jake, Monica, and Benny for your kindness! I am so excited! I love that my birthday came early this year!

    Soooo cool! I'm so excited for you. I got my treadmill after I had Allie and it has been my sanity saver (not that I'm that sane but I haven't killed anyone!)! Enjoy putting those miles on it :-)

20 Weeks

Today we had the opportunity to go in for our 20 week ultrasound. We are excited to announce that baby #3 is a healthy BOY! We are excited but have to admit we are a bit nervous. Change is hard and after two girls this is definitely a change. It will be a fun and wonderful experience. I have already thought about little boy ACUs and PT clothes (little army clothes) and what I will decorate the "boy" room in etc. I have always heard boys are "easier" but more rambunctious so I guess we will just have to see. I was excited that during the ultrasound our little boy was crossing his legs at the ankle like both his sisters do! So funny! We will keep y'all posted on names and other developments.

Halloween 2023

 We pulled off our best Halloween!  Possibly ever!  Jake had a vision and it came true beautifully.  He even had the cutest song he sang.  I loved our last Halloween in our Hurst home.

sometimes life may get you down

but then you remember how wonderful you husband is and it makes it all ok. Jake surprised me by ordering these gorgeous handmade pearl earrings from TINY STORM for me for Christmas and they were waiting for us with all our mail when we arrived back home after vacation. He got down on one knee and presented me with these earrings and it brought tears to my eyes. I am so grateful to have such a wonderful, hardworking, and loving husband who is always there to take care of me and love me when I am having a rough time. Thank you Jacob!
