I love to eat a "4th meal." You know the advertising done by Taco Bell? That is directed towards me. While pregnant (for almost the last 3 years) I have become accustomed to eating a dinner sized meal right before bed, hence the "4th meal." Well for the last three nights I have resisted. Each night (after everyone is asleep) I have walked to the fridge and wanted so badly to make myself another helping of dinner but have RESISTED! I am happy to say I think it is paying off because this morning on the scale I was down 1lb. I know that may not seem big, but to me it was wonderful! I have been at a standstill losing weight after baby #3. I am hoping that I can make some progress. I have a goal to be down one pant size by Thanksgiving!

I am in charge of baking cupcakes for enrichment at church next week (I know it isn't called enrichment anymore but can't remember the new title). I get to bake 64 cupcakes. It should be easy right? My girls and Brody are going to LOVE this endeavor of mine.

I love my job. I love being a mother/wife/all the other things I am. It is quite fulfilling.
(It helps that my husband is so appreciative of all my work.)
And the writer of Proverbs said, “Train up a child in the way he should go: and when he is old, he will not depart from it” (Proverbs 22:6).

Today is a great day. Jake is done at 3pm.

20 Weeks

Today we had the opportunity to go in for our 20 week ultrasound. We are excited to announce that baby #3 is a healthy BOY! We are excited but have to admit we are a bit nervous. Change is hard and after two girls this is definitely a change. It will be a fun and wonderful experience. I have already thought about little boy ACUs and PT clothes (little army clothes) and what I will decorate the "boy" room in etc. I have always heard boys are "easier" but more rambunctious so I guess we will just have to see. I was excited that during the ultrasound our little boy was crossing his legs at the ankle like both his sisters do! So funny! We will keep y'all posted on names and other developments.

Halloween 2023

We pulled off our best Halloween!  Possibly ever!  Jake had a vision and it came true beautifully.  He even had the cutest song he sang.  I loved our last Halloween in our Hurst home.

sometimes life may get you down

but then you remember how wonderful you husband is and it makes it all ok. Jake surprised me by ordering these gorgeous handmade pearl earrings from TINY STORM for me for Christmas and they were waiting for us with all our mail when we arrived back home after vacation. He got down on one knee and presented me with these earrings and it brought tears to my eyes. I am so grateful to have such a wonderful, hardworking, and loving husband who is always there to take care of me and love me when I am having a rough time. Thank you Jacob!
