Naps today were a no-go. The girls did not nap and Malachi has taken to gumming me so he has been an unhappy camper as well.

I look forward to Jake only working or only going to school. Doubtful it will happen anytime soon but I feel bad he has to rush rush rush all the time.

I think GOOGLE is taking over the world. I use Google for my email, blog, calendar, documents, and now they have a web browser!?

Living in a place that has 4 seasons is really growing on me. I am actually looking forward to snow. I think I am more-so looking forward to it for Brody (who is REALLY excited) and the kids' sake not so much mine. I fall every year without fail on the ice in our parking lot.

We are seriously considering getting a set of bunk-beds for the girls' room. We are doing just fine and dandy without them but I keep coming up with completely valid reasons why we really DO need them (but I just don't want to spend the $).

I love Wikipedia! You can type ANYTHING in on there and get an answer.

I feel my kids are tag-teaming me today. Aimi Lark is wide awake, Mali Su just went down for a nap, and Malachi is now up. Perfect timing little ones!!!

I just keep telling myself all will be well in about 2 hours when Daddy is done with school!!!
(Then we are off to the Pumpkin Patch for FHE!!!)

20 Weeks

Today we had the opportunity to go in for our 20 week ultrasound. We are excited to announce that baby #3 is a healthy BOY! We are excited but have to admit we are a bit nervous. Change is hard and after two girls this is definitely a change. It will be a fun and wonderful experience. I have already thought about little boy ACUs and PT clothes (little army clothes) and what I will decorate the "boy" room in etc. I have always heard boys are "easier" but more rambunctious so I guess we will just have to see. I was excited that during the ultrasound our little boy was crossing his legs at the ankle like both his sisters do! So funny! We will keep y'all posted on names and other developments.

Halloween 2023

We pulled off our best Halloween!  Possibly ever!  Jake had a vision and it came true beautifully.  He even had the cutest song he sang.  I loved our last Halloween in our Hurst home.

sometimes life may get you down

but then you remember how wonderful you husband is and it makes it all ok. Jake surprised me by ordering these gorgeous handmade pearl earrings from TINY STORM for me for Christmas and they were waiting for us with all our mail when we arrived back home after vacation. He got down on one knee and presented me with these earrings and it brought tears to my eyes. I am so grateful to have such a wonderful, hardworking, and loving husband who is always there to take care of me and love me when I am having a rough time. Thank you Jacob!
