Aunt Kaley

We have had an angel living with us for the last four months.   That angel is my brother Brody’s wife, Kaley.   Brody has been in the “desert” and she selflessly sacrificed her time to live with us.   She could have stayed anywhere and with anyone, but she chose us.   She chose to help with our home, our kids, and was a dream come true.   I feel so blessed that my children now know their Aunt Kaley so well and that we do too.   Brody is like a brother/son to us and I feel like Kaley is now our sister/daughter as well.   Who knew Brody living with us when he was Aimi Lark’s current age would later translate into his wife caring for our children.   Life is a beautiful circle and I know that I am blessed.   I hope that as she spends time in Starks with her family and then on to Tucson that it will all go as smoothly as she has it planned out in her head.   I am so excited for Brody and Kaley to be reunited in their own home in Arizona. ...

Solomon in Dr. Seuss the Musical

Today, all I could think about were Twin Towers and hurricanes.  Tonight, my sweet Solomon Roy (2nd grade) sang in a Dr. Seuss musical and I realized that's what it's all about.  Life is full of hard moments, but it all turns around somehow.  Terrorists can't break us. Hurricane Harvey didn't break us. Hurricane Florence won't break the east coast. We can do hard things. Life is beautiful!
