Aunt Kaley

We have had an angel living with us for the last four months.  That angel is my brother Brody’s wife, Kaley.  Brody has been in the “desert” and she selflessly sacrificed her time to live with us.  She could have stayed anywhere and with anyone, but she chose us.  She chose to help with our home, our kids, and was a dream come true.  I feel so blessed that my children now know their Aunt Kaley so well and that we do too.  Brody is like a brother/son to us and I feel like Kaley is now our sister/daughter as well.  Who knew Brody living with us when he was Aimi Lark’s current age would later translate into his wife caring for our children.  Life is a beautiful circle and I know that I am blessed.  I hope that as she spends time in Starks with her family and then on to Tucson that it will all go as smoothly as she has it planned out in her head.  I am so excited for Brody and Kaley to be reunited in their own home in Arizona.  Max (their dog) I know will be over the moon to see his “Dad” again.

20 Weeks

Today we had the opportunity to go in for our 20 week ultrasound. We are excited to announce that baby #3 is a healthy BOY! We are excited but have to admit we are a bit nervous. Change is hard and after two girls this is definitely a change. It will be a fun and wonderful experience. I have already thought about little boy ACUs and PT clothes (little army clothes) and what I will decorate the "boy" room in etc. I have always heard boys are "easier" but more rambunctious so I guess we will just have to see. I was excited that during the ultrasound our little boy was crossing his legs at the ankle like both his sisters do! So funny! We will keep y'all posted on names and other developments.

Halloween 2023

We pulled off our best Halloween!  Possibly ever!  Jake had a vision and it came true beautifully.  He even had the cutest song he sang.  I loved our last Halloween in our Hurst home.

sometimes life may get you down

but then you remember how wonderful you husband is and it makes it all ok. Jake surprised me by ordering these gorgeous handmade pearl earrings from TINY STORM for me for Christmas and they were waiting for us with all our mail when we arrived back home after vacation. He got down on one knee and presented me with these earrings and it brought tears to my eyes. I am so grateful to have such a wonderful, hardworking, and loving husband who is always there to take care of me and love me when I am having a rough time. Thank you Jacob!
