SATURDAY!!!

Our Saturday was superb! The Keetons gave us a call to all have a picnic at a park. Kaylene and I made up some sandwiches and we met up with everyone. The little girls loved the sand in the volleyball court. (yes those are Dora panties over Mali Su's pants)
We then went home and put the kids down for naps and Jake and Kenny met up and played basketball at BYU. These two are the best of friends. I am so glad Jake has a long time best friend like Kenny!
When Jake got home from basketball he told me there was screw in our tire! We went to get it repaired and had fun time watching the BYU game in the Pep Boys waiting room. Jake also got the girls food from the vending machine and taught Aimi Lark how to play hand games.
We felt extremely blessed because our tire was patchable and they did not charge us anything!
On Saturday night Kayla and Josh offered to babysit for us. We were so excited because they love our kids and our kids love them! We were able to go to the Provo Temple and then we turned in our "mad money" changeinto dollars that my mom sends back with me every time I go to Texas and had a fun dinner of Cafe Rio and dessert at DQ. I was so proud of myself for not getting a dessert! I have turned over a new leaf when it comes to eating and really look at whether something is worth the calories or not. Date nights are truly wonderful!

20 Weeks

Today we had the opportunity to go in for our 20 week ultrasound. We are excited to announce that baby #3 is a healthy BOY! We are excited but have to admit we are a bit nervous. Change is hard and after two girls this is definitely a change. It will be a fun and wonderful experience. I have already thought about little boy ACUs and PT clothes (little army clothes) and what I will decorate the "boy" room in etc. I have always heard boys are "easier" but more rambunctious so I guess we will just have to see. I was excited that during the ultrasound our little boy was crossing his legs at the ankle like both his sisters do! So funny! We will keep y'all posted on names and other developments.

Halloween 2023

We pulled off our best Halloween!  Possibly ever!  Jake had a vision and it came true beautifully.  He even had the cutest song he sang.  I loved our last Halloween in our Hurst home.

sometimes life may get you down

but then you remember how wonderful you husband is and it makes it all ok. Jake surprised me by ordering these gorgeous handmade pearl earrings from TINY STORM for me for Christmas and they were waiting for us with all our mail when we arrived back home after vacation. He got down on one knee and presented me with these earrings and it brought tears to my eyes. I am so grateful to have such a wonderful, hardworking, and loving husband who is always there to take care of me and love me when I am having a rough time. Thank you Jacob!
