Islands of Adventure with Heidi

Heidi was in our Utah ward (church congregation) back in our Willowbrook condos.  Jake was her hometeacher while we lived there and we all became great friends.  Heidi had a work conference in Orlando and finished off her time here by spending a couple nights with us.  She told me if I could get a sitter we would go to Universal, her treat!  Who can say no to that?  Thankfully Lyric and Ben kindly said they could.
I have not read the Harry Potter books but did see the movies (uncultured swine I know).
I LOVED the Harry Potter land!
It was so well done and did not feel small or cheesy in the least.  I had hoped they had the 9 3/4 train station stop but Heidi let me know they have it in England.

We then headed over to Jurassic Park and enjoyed some boat rides.

We hit up quite a few water rides and got more and more soaked at each one.
We did some higher speed rides towards the end but somehow missed Spiderman.
I love visitors, I love Orlando, I love fun adventures and new things!
Thanks Heidi for being a great friend!

20 Weeks

Today we had the opportunity to go in for our 20 week ultrasound. We are excited to announce that baby #3 is a healthy BOY! We are excited but have to admit we are a bit nervous. Change is hard and after two girls this is definitely a change. It will be a fun and wonderful experience. I have already thought about little boy ACUs and PT clothes (little army clothes) and what I will decorate the "boy" room in etc. I have always heard boys are "easier" but more rambunctious so I guess we will just have to see. I was excited that during the ultrasound our little boy was crossing his legs at the ankle like both his sisters do! So funny! We will keep y'all posted on names and other developments.

Halloween 2023

We pulled off our best Halloween!  Possibly ever!  Jake had a vision and it came true beautifully.  He even had the cutest song he sang.  I loved our last Halloween in our Hurst home.

sometimes life may get you down

but then you remember how wonderful you husband is and it makes it all ok. Jake surprised me by ordering these gorgeous handmade pearl earrings from TINY STORM for me for Christmas and they were waiting for us with all our mail when we arrived back home after vacation. He got down on one knee and presented me with these earrings and it brought tears to my eyes. I am so grateful to have such a wonderful, hardworking, and loving husband who is always there to take care of me and love me when I am having a rough time. Thank you Jacob!
