Sick in Nursery

This past week my girls have been sick with upset tummies and lots of dirty diapers... So they seemed on the mend so we went to church on Sunday. During Sunday school I was called out into the hall and when I walked out I saw a sweet sister in the ward carrying an upset Aimi Lark and telling me she is stinky and that is is coming out everywhere! AHHHH! I grabbed her and got Jake and he and Mali Su came to help. We headed to change her. Luckily it wasn't on her dress but as the diaper was opened so were the flood gates and it was EVERYWHERE! After much work Aimi Lark ended up in only her sweater, socks, shoes, and Jake's suit coat. The poor girl was so upset that we took her right home where she napped for 4 hours! The girls' tummies seem better so we are grateful for that!

  2. Dear Caroline & Jake,

The Jarrells absolutely love y'all. I found your blog on Marianne's because I wasn't sure how to contact you. Thanks a million for taking Kayla under your wing!!! She thinks y'all are great and your girls are adorable. She keeps us updated often and appreciates everything you do for her. I told her to be sure to pay you back by babysitting and helping with chores so feel free to ask her. Teenagers don't always remember to help out. Take care and THANK YOU!

  4. Poor Aimi Lark. Our boys have had the Big D this past week and it's been miserable for both them and us.

20 Weeks

Today we had the opportunity to go in for our 20 week ultrasound. We are excited to announce that baby #3 is a healthy BOY! We are excited but have to admit we are a bit nervous. Change is hard and after two girls this is definitely a change. It will be a fun and wonderful experience. I have already thought about little boy ACUs and PT clothes (little army clothes) and what I will decorate the "boy" room in etc. I have always heard boys are "easier" but more rambunctious so I guess we will just have to see. I was excited that during the ultrasound our little boy was crossing his legs at the ankle like both his sisters do! So funny! We will keep y'all posted on names and other developments.

Halloween 2023

We pulled off our best Halloween!  Possibly ever!  Jake had a vision and it came true beautifully.  He even had the cutest song he sang.  I loved our last Halloween in our Hurst home.

sometimes life may get you down

but then you remember how wonderful you husband is and it makes it all ok. Jake surprised me by ordering these gorgeous handmade pearl earrings from TINY STORM for me for Christmas and they were waiting for us with all our mail when we arrived back home after vacation. He got down on one knee and presented me with these earrings and it brought tears to my eyes. I am so grateful to have such a wonderful, hardworking, and loving husband who is always there to take care of me and love me when I am having a rough time. Thank you Jacob!
