Let's go SHOOTING

To kick off our 4th of July weekend we spent the evening with good friends! We had cafe rio to go at our house and then headed out to Payson to go SHOOTING! It was so much fun to shoot Jake's guns. Everyone seemed to enjoy themselves. And as always Marlyse was a great shot! Jake even taught the guys to shoot army style by laying down.

Kenny shoots...

Caroline shoots (I always close my eyes...oops)

Beth shoots (and makes really funny noises when she shoots)

Jake shoots using his super cool holster!

Look at these adorable little ones!!! They were so good and just hung out in the truck without even getting upset while we adults selfishly shot guns and kept them out past their bedtimes! Thanks girls!

AND a special thanks to Hadley who had her shots today, she is such a TROOPER!

20 Weeks

Today we had the opportunity to go in for our 20 week ultrasound. We are excited to announce that baby #3 is a healthy BOY! We are excited but have to admit we are a bit nervous. Change is hard and after two girls this is definitely a change. It will be a fun and wonderful experience. I have already thought about little boy ACUs and PT clothes (little army clothes) and what I will decorate the "boy" room in etc. I have always heard boys are "easier" but more rambunctious so I guess we will just have to see. I was excited that during the ultrasound our little boy was crossing his legs at the ankle like both his sisters do! So funny! We will keep y'all posted on names and other developments.

Halloween 2023

We pulled off our best Halloween!  Possibly ever!  Jake had a vision and it came true beautifully.  He even had the cutest song he sang.  I loved our last Halloween in our Hurst home.

sometimes life may get you down

but then you remember how wonderful you husband is and it makes it all ok. Jake surprised me by ordering these gorgeous handmade pearl earrings from TINY STORM for me for Christmas and they were waiting for us with all our mail when we arrived back home after vacation. He got down on one knee and presented me with these earrings and it brought tears to my eyes. I am so grateful to have such a wonderful, hardworking, and loving husband who is always there to take care of me and love me when I am having a rough time. Thank you Jacob!
