"Is this poop or is it chocolate?"

So the title(quoted to me by Aunt Audrey) may not make sense right now but let me tell you why it is there...

Yesterday afternoon Aimi Lark and Madilyn were playing in the playroom and were gated in. The adults and Mali Su were in the living room when we all of a sudden smelled an awful stinch. I jumped up thinking Madilyn had had an explosion like Nate had warned me about that morning. I ran to the baby gate and both girls walked over to me and had poo on their faces! and Madilyn had it all in her hands... it smelled terrible! I grabbed Madilyn and Jake grabbed Aimi Lark while Aunt Audrey went to run a bath. Jake and I began the stripping process and discovered it was AIMI LARK who had the major BLOW OUT. We wiped them down and then Aunt Audrey bathed them while Jake and I SANITIZED everything. We then dressed them in their pjs. I still cannot believe that Aimi Lark had an explosion that ended up all over the floor! And that the girls decided to "play" in it! We had to also throw away quite a few toys that were "covered" man oh man it was a day! Luckily the poo on their face was no where near their mouths...

"We didn't do anything wrong... We were just drinking our milk the entire time... We have NO IDEA how the poo got there..."
"These girls are exhausting... I'm going to bed"

  2. Oh and Hadley told me to tell you to give Aimi Lark a message. She says, "bring it." Don't ask me why, she won't tell me what she's referring to.

  9. By the title, I was hoping it would have a good ending, and you would say it turned out to be chocolate. But no. Needless to say, that was disgusting. Good thing you had backup though, so you didn't have to clean up everything AND give them baths. Whew!

20 Weeks

Today we had the opportunity to go in for our 20 week ultrasound. We are excited to announce that baby #3 is a healthy BOY! We are excited but have to admit we are a bit nervous. Change is hard and after two girls this is definitely a change. It will be a fun and wonderful experience. I have already thought about little boy ACUs and PT clothes (little army clothes) and what I will decorate the "boy" room in etc. I have always heard boys are "easier" but more rambunctious so I guess we will just have to see. I was excited that during the ultrasound our little boy was crossing his legs at the ankle like both his sisters do! So funny! We will keep y'all posted on names and other developments.

Halloween 2023

We pulled off our best Halloween!  Possibly ever!  Jake had a vision and it came true beautifully.  He even had the cutest song he sang.  I loved our last Halloween in our Hurst home.

sometimes life may get you down

but then you remember how wonderful you husband is and it makes it all ok. Jake surprised me by ordering these gorgeous handmade pearl earrings from TINY STORM for me for Christmas and they were waiting for us with all our mail when we arrived back home after vacation. He got down on one knee and presented me with these earrings and it brought tears to my eyes. I am so grateful to have such a wonderful, hardworking, and loving husband who is always there to take care of me and love me when I am having a rough time. Thank you Jacob!
