Who needs to buy toys when...

you have momma's shoes and old cell phone?

I keep telling Jake the girls need more toys but apparently they are completely satisfied with what they find around the house.

  1. Don't waste the money! An empty diaper box will offer more hours of entertainment than any pricey learning toy!

  2. Hey, that onesie looks familiar! Cute stuff! And, I bought some toys yesterday. Did I tell you that? They're used from online.

  3. So cute, Zoe loves to trudge around in my shoes, too! She tried on her first pair of heels yesterday when we were at Target, we definitely have girly girls!

  6. It's funny that kids would rather play with stuff that's not really a toy. Ethan loves to play with plastic water bottles, and if he finds the tag on his blanket, he's in heaven!

  7. If someone made a cell phone for babies they would be rich!

20 Weeks

Today we had the opportunity to go in for our 20 week ultrasound. We are excited to announce that baby #3 is a healthy BOY! We are excited but have to admit we are a bit nervous. Change is hard and after two girls this is definitely a change. It will be a fun and wonderful experience. I have already thought about little boy ACUs and PT clothes (little army clothes) and what I will decorate the "boy" room in etc. I have always heard boys are "easier" but more rambunctious so I guess we will just have to see. I was excited that during the ultrasound our little boy was crossing his legs at the ankle like both his sisters do! So funny! We will keep y'all posted on names and other developments.

Halloween 2023

We pulled off our best Halloween!  Possibly ever!  Jake had a vision and it came true beautifully.  He even had the cutest song he sang.  I loved our last Halloween in our Hurst home.

sometimes life may get you down

but then you remember how wonderful you husband is and it makes it all ok. Jake surprised me by ordering these gorgeous handmade pearl earrings from TINY STORM for me for Christmas and they were waiting for us with all our mail when we arrived back home after vacation. He got down on one knee and presented me with these earrings and it brought tears to my eyes. I am so grateful to have such a wonderful, hardworking, and loving husband who is always there to take care of me and love me when I am having a rough time. Thank you Jacob!
