Jake's BIRTHDAY Morning

Today Jake is 29!
He is planning his day and I love it.  I love when he plans our outings so in a selfish way this is a day for me too!  Jake slept in, the kids made him cards, we served him crumb donuts and chocolate milk in bed, and then Jake and I left for a morning at the Temple thanks to Mia.  Her gift to Jake is his favorite he said, BABYSITTING!
We left the Temple and did some shopping at the distribution center and then headed to our favorite Mexican Restaurant.  Jake had his favorite (virgin) Pina Colada and then lunch and then they sang to him!  He got to wear a fancy sombrero and enjoy some birthday flan.  He was on the phone with his Mom when they came to sing to him.
The kids are now napping and so will we, after Jake finishes Star Trek on his phone of course.

20 Weeks

Today we had the opportunity to go in for our 20 week ultrasound. We are excited to announce that baby #3 is a healthy BOY! We are excited but have to admit we are a bit nervous. Change is hard and after two girls this is definitely a change. It will be a fun and wonderful experience. I have already thought about little boy ACUs and PT clothes (little army clothes) and what I will decorate the "boy" room in etc. I have always heard boys are "easier" but more rambunctious so I guess we will just have to see. I was excited that during the ultrasound our little boy was crossing his legs at the ankle like both his sisters do! So funny! We will keep y'all posted on names and other developments.

Halloween 2023

 We pulled off our best Halloween!  Possibly ever!  Jake had a vision and it came true beautifully.  He even had the cutest song he sang.  I loved our last Halloween in our Hurst home.

sometimes life may get you down

but then you remember how wonderful you husband is and it makes it all ok. Jake surprised me by ordering these gorgeous handmade pearl earrings from TINY STORM for me for Christmas and they were waiting for us with all our mail when we arrived back home after vacation. He got down on one knee and presented me with these earrings and it brought tears to my eyes. I am so grateful to have such a wonderful, hardworking, and loving husband who is always there to take care of me and love me when I am having a rough time. Thank you Jacob!
