a Double Date

We had the opportunity to meet up with our friends Ben and Lyric Webb at the Orlando LDS Temple last night.  Ben and I go way back to high school days for me, his younger brother Todd and I are the same age.  It was so fun to see them, as always.  I loved getting to chat with them at dinner afterward and hear all that is going on in their lives.  They live here in Orlando, as well, but Ben is in a PhD program and Lyric is a mom going to school so our lives get to cross paths just a little less than we'd like them to.  Even though we're only thirty minutes away from one another.  Jake has said he thinks friendships that start in your "childhood" are just a little stronger than others, I think he has a point.  When Jake ran back at a red light and flipped up Ben's windshield wipers it was definitely a throw-back to high school when the Webb boys ALWAYS did that to me and my best friend Marianne.  It is always great to see friends and go to the Temple.  It was a perfect combo for me.  Thanks Mia for babysitting for us!

20 Weeks

Today we had the opportunity to go in for our 20 week ultrasound. We are excited to announce that baby #3 is a healthy BOY! We are excited but have to admit we are a bit nervous. Change is hard and after two girls this is definitely a change. It will be a fun and wonderful experience. I have already thought about little boy ACUs and PT clothes (little army clothes) and what I will decorate the "boy" room in etc. I have always heard boys are "easier" but more rambunctious so I guess we will just have to see. I was excited that during the ultrasound our little boy was crossing his legs at the ankle like both his sisters do! So funny! We will keep y'all posted on names and other developments.

Halloween 2023

We pulled off our best Halloween!  Possibly ever!  Jake had a vision and it came true beautifully.  He even had the cutest song he sang.  I loved our last Halloween in our Hurst home.

sometimes life may get you down

but then you remember how wonderful you husband is and it makes it all ok. Jake surprised me by ordering these gorgeous handmade pearl earrings from TINY STORM for me for Christmas and they were waiting for us with all our mail when we arrived back home after vacation. He got down on one knee and presented me with these earrings and it brought tears to my eyes. I am so grateful to have such a wonderful, hardworking, and loving husband who is always there to take care of me and love me when I am having a rough time. Thank you Jacob!
