#2 & #3

I heard #2 yell out, "I HATE YOU!" to #3.
#3 said I have more balloons than you #2.

I just locked #2 child and #3 child in a room together and might leave them in there all day in hopes they become best friends
(please don't let this backfire, please don't let this backfire)

This little battle isn't new.
This is in Oct 2011 when I made them sit in a chair together til they could be nice to one another.
Notice the red face full of tears, at least this time I haven't heard any crying from the room they're in.

  1. If it makes you feel any better, I was the meanest sister EVER to poor Jill! There was no reason at all and the suddenly as teenagers we became best friends. I remember apologizing to her for being a mean sister when we were kids and she said, "That's okay I already forgave you." (She's that awesome!) As you know we love each other to pieces now and are the best of friends. It will all work out for your #2 and #3...but it might take 10 more years. ;-)

20 Weeks

Today we had the opportunity to go in for our 20 week ultrasound. We are excited to announce that baby #3 is a healthy BOY! We are excited but have to admit we are a bit nervous. Change is hard and after two girls this is definitely a change. It will be a fun and wonderful experience. I have already thought about little boy ACUs and PT clothes (little army clothes) and what I will decorate the "boy" room in etc. I have always heard boys are "easier" but more rambunctious so I guess we will just have to see. I was excited that during the ultrasound our little boy was crossing his legs at the ankle like both his sisters do! So funny! We will keep y'all posted on names and other developments.

Halloween 2023

We pulled off our best Halloween!  Possibly ever!  Jake had a vision and it came true beautifully.  He even had the cutest song he sang.  I loved our last Halloween in our Hurst home.

sometimes life may get you down

but then you remember how wonderful you husband is and it makes it all ok. Jake surprised me by ordering these gorgeous handmade pearl earrings from TINY STORM for me for Christmas and they were waiting for us with all our mail when we arrived back home after vacation. He got down on one knee and presented me with these earrings and it brought tears to my eyes. I am so grateful to have such a wonderful, hardworking, and loving husband who is always there to take care of me and love me when I am having a rough time. Thank you Jacob!
