I have been working out twice a day for a few weeks now. The scale is not moving and I'm eating right. I feel encouraged though because Jake told me I looked toner so that's progress and I feel AMAZING. I typically try and make running my main exercise when I do it but I've been doing more cross training workouts and running/walking is more my extra and I am noticing a big difference on my endurance, breathing, and overall how I feel when I run. My hip especially can feel the difference and I love it. My hip has given me trouble on and off since I was pregnant with Solomon. My left hip hurts more than my right. Today on my run my feet started BURNING around mile 3-4 but my hip felt great. I'm sure I just need better shoes. I finally believe what they say, it gets easier to keep going after the first few miles. I loved how I felt. I was SLOW (like so slow I'm sure Jake could have beat me on these 10 miles walking) but I did it. I ran/walk/jogged from my house to my friend Emily's who was having a party. I did 10 miles in 2:52:22 at a 17 minute 14 second per mile pace. I was hoping for under 15 minutes per mile but I did walk more with my feet hurting. I am so happy with my accomplishment and feel even more prepared to climb all over that Great Wall of China! Hiking Cerro La Campana in Chile sure showed me I can pretty much do anything, just keep my body moving!
5 miles in and just moving along, grateful for Jake's camel back and fancy bicycle shirt to hold my phone and power bar I ate during a walk break.
10 miles done!

Woo hoo!! Way to go!! Not to take away any motivation but the Great Wall is nothing compared to 10 miles :) You will have zero problem!
