Boogie boards were a BLAST, Malachi couldn't get enough.
Jake took Aimi Lark out to surf first and as he would take her over a wave on the board sometimes the board was practically vertical and she would just hold on.
GO AIMI LARK!
GO MALI SU!
Daddy waiting for a wave.
Mali Su Surfs!!!
I keep Solomon company under the umbrella, again. He spent the first couple hours being needy and the rest of the time he did his own thing enjoying the beach.
Malachi was never able to stand up completely but he did a good job trying!
Solomon tried his hand at surfing and I was surprised he did so well and didn't cry.
He never stood up but he and Daddy rode that wave all the way to shore.
He didn't like when Daddy had him stand.
The girls made an amazing whale in the sand and then Solomon came and stomped on it. Thankfully I had just taken a picture so the girls were fine and didn't care. Lately they'll ask me to take pictures of things so they can always remember them.
My sweet husband loves me and works really hard at doing things for me that he knows make me happy.
While at the beach he took some pictures of ME with the kids. We know I long for those because the ones I typically have are because I hold a camera or phone out in front of me and a child and say, "Look."
I love the ocean.
I love the waves and the sand.
I don't love the sun or sunburns, but the beach is an amazing place to be.
Solomon does this laugh lately where he makes a "T" sound. Jake loves it and Solomon loves to do it for him.
Jake and I hung out in our chairs under the umbrella with Solomon for awhile. Our kids are getting old enough that we could do that. It was very relaxing.
Aimi Lark found a sand crab and lovingly cared for it. When it was almost time to leave I asked her where "Sandy" was and she told me she buried her. I asked why and she said Solomon had stepped on her and killed her. She buried her because she was dead she said. She seemed sad but ok with it. Facts of life 101 we've got down I guess.
Malachi refuses a picture and gets angry, Solomon is oblivious, the sun is in Mali Su's eyes and Aimi Lark is doing her best to comply with my request to take a picture of them together in this hole they've been playing for 10 minutes.
One good day at the beach!
