Katie took the above pictures and I sent my Mom the one below as a THANK YOU for the concert.
We've made it a tradition to eat at Five Guys before the concerts we attend. I love their hot dogs with all the toppings. They have great Cajun fries too.
We got there a little early.
Country rocker Brantley Gilbert played. I've realized sometimes when I don't know the song of an opening act it's hard to understand them. Maybe their sound equipment isn't as good?
It started getting darker, almost time for TIM!
We're SO EXCITED!
Then I notice all these yellow shirt "event staff" written on the back people. I say to Katie, "it's about to get real up in here" thinking the concert was about to start. THEN these event staff people are lining up down our aisle by our seats. I see people start turning around and realize they are going to bring Tim McGraw in down OUR aisle. We are getting so antsy. At this point everyone is standing up and crowding. It is pure adrenaline at this point, everyone is so excited. I have met country music stars in Nashville before and never felt like this. It was totally the crowd mentality and excitement I think and not knowing to expect this and then within minutes he's walking right by us.
Katie and I each grab his hand, a cross between a shake and a hold and Jill gives him a "high five."
Afterward we were jumping up and down and hugging like crazy people. I felt like some kind of teenage fan of a boy band (minus the tears).
We were on some kind of adrenaline high forever after he walked by. We sang and danced the night away. He put on a GREAT show.
At the end of the night an old man in front of us turned around and whispered in my ear,
"y'all were a lot of fun tonight, thanks for the excitement"
I think he enjoyed being by some fun time having ladies that weren't drunk? Either way it was such a sweet compliment! This night was great and not as rowdy of a crowd as the last concert we went to with Jason Aldean and Luke Brian.
I loved my night!
Then I came home to Mother's Day...
