We were 4/4 for our kids being brought to us. It was overwhelming. I was busy all during church so they would come get me and then I would take the kid to Jake. I'm sure the High Priest were thinking,
"I don't miss those days"
each time I pulled Jake out of class, or gave him "the eyes" through the crack in the cultural hall door.
When I brought him a wailing Mali Su because the heart her teacher drew on her picture was "too big" we both just had to laugh for a second at the hilarity of the situation as Jake said, "this makes 4/4 right?"
Aimi Lark had big crocodile tears from not getting chosen for a game in Singing Time. Jake told me, "that comes from my side, I remember not getting picked after being so reverent."
I subbed in Malachi's class today and he pulled the silent anger thing on me and I just took him to Dad.
I spent time in the hall with a fit pitcher named Solomon and as I brought him back inside from trying to escape he threw his head back in protest and whacked it on the door which brought on more tears right before nursery.
Let's share things that were GREAT about church today.
I got to sub/help in sunbeams today and used my nice voice the entire exhausting hour but loved it.
I had so many people ask me about doing their hair.
I got lots of compliments on my hair (Jake did my roots last night and he rocked at it).
Malachi gave an AMAZING talk in primary and I got to bring my teenagers in there for it.
I teach a great (quiet) group of 16-18 year olds. One of which just got baptized last week and she shared her conversion story with us. I love hearing a great conversion story!
Jake shared his testimony in sacrament meeting and even though I was in the hall for it I still loved hearing that man of mine speak.
The kids were overall very good this week during sacrament meeting which is always nice.
I love our ward even if I still feel "new" in it.
Did I mention I teach an amazing group of teenagers? I love my calling.
