Jake worked on the kids reverence during prayers. Mali Su yelled at Aimi Lark during family prayer for her eyes being open and then I scolded Mali Su during the prayer because how would she know that Aimi Lark's eyes were open if hers weren't open. I know, great Mom moment. Can you tell Mali Su worries about every one else all day long? Poor Solomon was working so hard to keep his eyes closed during this exercise.
There are lots of areas in FL where subdivisions were started but never finished. By our house is a HUGE area with streets and sidewalks but no homes. We go there, park at the entrance blocking off the street and the kids can ride and ride. No fear of them being hit by cars.

I told the kids to go, ride away, and Mali Su had to stand there and tell me something but for the life of me I cannot remember what. I just remember it made me laugh at her way of doing things.
This is Solomon pitching a fit after Daddy left without him.
Aimi Lark and Malachi came up with this genius idea to get around. She bikes, he holds on. Later he got out and she stuck it on the back part of her bike as her "trailer." I love the imaginative play of kids!
Since Daddy doesn't have law school at night anymore we can do things like see movies. We took the kids to IRON MAN because they love Iron Man. It was probably too violent and it started almost 30 minutes LATE. Towards the end I took Malachi to the bathroom and Solomon with us. When we came back in I sent Malachi to his seat and sat with Solomon on my lap in the single seat on the landing area. It was at the end of the movie, full of IRON MAN action. He was so into it. He would GASP! say, "OH NO!" and when a girl fell he said, "OH NO! GIRL!" pointing at the screen and covering his eyes. When IRON MAN came to save the day he CLAPPED enthusiastically. That moment made those TWO buckets of popcorn he dumped out in protest to the movie starting LATE forgotten (and the fact that we had free popcorn refills). I loved holding that baby boy of mine and enjoying the moment and letting the (silent)stress I was experiencing from the first hour melt away.
Next time we'll stick to cartoons at the theater.
