Turkey Bowl in GA

Aaron sure knows how to put on one awesome Turkey Bowl.
They had 4 teams play and then winners played winners and losers played losers so they got to play 2 (tackle) games.  Aaron's team was the winner OF the winners!
The boys came home beat up and sore but HAPPY!
I loved getting a kiss from my MVP when he returned home.

THE TEAM!
 Brandon's SACK!
 Beau's catch.
 Logan's face plant.
Aaron's run with the ball, no doubt for a first down.
Brody sitting out the huddle, you know, taking a breather.
Jake making a run for it.
Brandon takes a minute to "crack his back" he told me.
Jake told Brody to get an interception, here he is JUMPING in front of the ball.
Jake makes another run for it.
I sent my camera with Jake and Dallin my 8 year old nephew was put in charge of camera duty since all us girls stayed at the house to finish up the cooking.  He returned home with 210 pictures.  I widdled it down to 35 and tried to pick shots of everyone to post.
Next year I want to watch the game, I love football.

  1. Dallin did a great job on camera duty! Looks like it was a great game! It also looks like you have quite a few athletes in your family.

20 Weeks

Today we had the opportunity to go in for our 20 week ultrasound. We are excited to announce that baby #3 is a healthy BOY! We are excited but have to admit we are a bit nervous. Change is hard and after two girls this is definitely a change. It will be a fun and wonderful experience. I have already thought about little boy ACUs and PT clothes (little army clothes) and what I will decorate the "boy" room in etc. I have always heard boys are "easier" but more rambunctious so I guess we will just have to see. I was excited that during the ultrasound our little boy was crossing his legs at the ankle like both his sisters do! So funny! We will keep y'all posted on names and other developments.

Halloween 2023

We pulled off our best Halloween!  Possibly ever!  Jake had a vision and it came true beautifully.  He even had the cutest song he sang.  I loved our last Halloween in our Hurst home.

sometimes life may get you down

but then you remember how wonderful you husband is and it makes it all ok. Jake surprised me by ordering these gorgeous handmade pearl earrings from TINY STORM for me for Christmas and they were waiting for us with all our mail when we arrived back home after vacation. He got down on one knee and presented me with these earrings and it brought tears to my eyes. I am so grateful to have such a wonderful, hardworking, and loving husband who is always there to take care of me and love me when I am having a rough time. Thank you Jacob!
