Gratitude Day 12

Today I am grateful for our new ward.  I feel so blessed to be in the ward we are in.  I shared with the women in Relief Society at church on Sunday how grateful I was for how diverse our ward was.  Our ward is not only diverse culturally but diversity of age, situation, and life experiences.  I love it and soak it up!  I feel so uplifted by these women and fellow members of our ward.  I love surrounding myself with people who I can learn from. Last night I had the opportunity to attend a "Ladies Night" at Debbie's house.  She hosted a tea party and we all had a blast talking, getting to know one another, and laughing.  

I made it home at 1AM.  I realized this morning I am not 19 anymore and thankfully Jake let me sleep in while he did morning duty.  I am also grateful that while at the party last night he sent me a text that read, 
"kids asleep all is well don't hurry home."

20 Weeks

Today we had the opportunity to go in for our 20 week ultrasound. We are excited to announce that baby #3 is a healthy BOY! We are excited but have to admit we are a bit nervous. Change is hard and after two girls this is definitely a change. It will be a fun and wonderful experience. I have already thought about little boy ACUs and PT clothes (little army clothes) and what I will decorate the "boy" room in etc. I have always heard boys are "easier" but more rambunctious so I guess we will just have to see. I was excited that during the ultrasound our little boy was crossing his legs at the ankle like both his sisters do! So funny! We will keep y'all posted on names and other developments.

Halloween 2023

 We pulled off our best Halloween!  Possibly ever!  Jake had a vision and it came true beautifully.  He even had the cutest song he sang.  I loved our last Halloween in our Hurst home.

sometimes life may get you down

but then you remember how wonderful you husband is and it makes it all ok. Jake surprised me by ordering these gorgeous handmade pearl earrings from TINY STORM for me for Christmas and they were waiting for us with all our mail when we arrived back home after vacation. He got down on one knee and presented me with these earrings and it brought tears to my eyes. I am so grateful to have such a wonderful, hardworking, and loving husband who is always there to take care of me and love me when I am having a rough time. Thank you Jacob!
