It's November!

Aimi Lark was a part of her first church Primary Program a couple weeks ago.  I was so excited for her.  She did so well on her part.  She had to say, "We are all brothers and sisters."  She spoke at a perfect volume into the microphone and didn't mumble, I was so proud.  It didn't even bother me she took her shoes off and brought them to me before her part, one less distraction, and to say she was fidgety during the program is quite the understatement.

Jake is known to feed the kids left-over Halloween candy for breakfast, and I'm totally OK with that.  Once a year, what'll it hurt?  I think nothing, but don't worry, we have standards.
Only chocolate candy with milk counts as breakfast.

Malachi is a really funny boy.  He keeps us entertained.  When he has something he isn't supposed to and you go after him to get it, he runs laughing all the way, and then turns to you, hands you the item and says, "Dee!" while nodding.  He has the funniest run.  His hands are up in front of him like a T-Rex and he kinda high step/prances.  Also, if you haven't seen his dance moves, you are missing out!  He shakes his body and turns around and high steps some more.

I'm still working on my 2009 blog book.  I thought I was just about done but turns out somehow I managed to edit the beginning and the end but missed just about the entire MIDDLE of the book.  I just keep telling myself, "I love my blog books, I love my blog books" because I really do, really.

The boys are doing well.  I know they aren't on here like they used to be but they seem to stay busy with school, friends, and work for Beau.  He started work at Hollister a couple weeks ago.  The boys are each doing pretty well in school.  Beau is a senior and it will take us a little work to make sure he graduates but he is making great progress.  If we could only help him remember that homework does NOT go in your pocket to ultimately be washed and dried.  I do not check pockets.

We went to the beach the day before Halloween!  I seriously love the beach, always have.  We have all the gear now it seems, I think I just want a nice beach chair for myself.

The waves were HUGE and the tide was high.
Malachi got a little sleepy towards the end of the day.  This trip was our first in the afternoon vs our normal morning outings.

I love that these girls have each other.  I didn't grow up with a sister but it seems like such a wonderful bond.
Happy November everyone!

20 Weeks

Today we had the opportunity to go in for our 20 week ultrasound. We are excited to announce that baby #3 is a healthy BOY! We are excited but have to admit we are a bit nervous. Change is hard and after two girls this is definitely a change. It will be a fun and wonderful experience. I have already thought about little boy ACUs and PT clothes (little army clothes) and what I will decorate the "boy" room in etc. I have always heard boys are "easier" but more rambunctious so I guess we will just have to see. I was excited that during the ultrasound our little boy was crossing his legs at the ankle like both his sisters do! So funny! We will keep y'all posted on names and other developments.

Halloween 2023

We pulled off our best Halloween!  Possibly ever!  Jake had a vision and it came true beautifully.  He even had the cutest song he sang.  I loved our last Halloween in our Hurst home.

sometimes life may get you down

but then you remember how wonderful you husband is and it makes it all ok. Jake surprised me by ordering these gorgeous handmade pearl earrings from TINY STORM for me for Christmas and they were waiting for us with all our mail when we arrived back home after vacation. He got down on one knee and presented me with these earrings and it brought tears to my eyes. I am so grateful to have such a wonderful, hardworking, and loving husband who is always there to take care of me and love me when I am having a rough time. Thank you Jacob!
