Gratitude Day 18

Some evenings are just perfect.
Perfect.
Tonight was that.
I am so GRATEFUL.
The boys came home from school,
the house was (extra) clean (my husband is awesome),
Beau brought over friends (girls),
they all played in the backyard and got extra dirty,
bath time with Malachi's face covered in bubbles as usual,
mac n cheese for dinner,
good smelling kids who hopped right in bed without a peep,
and now I sit here singing songs to them at their request.
BUT I think the best part was when the girls said prayers.

Mali Su was first (as usual)
and was grateful for a few things I didn't expect
Daytona
Disney
the princesses
and her usual family members to include Grammie, Grandpa, Pa Pa, and Mia
oh and dinner

Aimi Lark was grateful for
Christmas (twice)
Disney
the princesses
and all our family members

I am so grateful right now for this PERFECT evening, I want to say I want them all to be like this but then I don't think I'd appreciate the good ones near as much if we didn't have the ones that aren't so perfect.
Oh perfect evening, how I love you.

20 Weeks

Today we had the opportunity to go in for our 20 week ultrasound. We are excited to announce that baby #3 is a healthy BOY! We are excited but have to admit we are a bit nervous. Change is hard and after two girls this is definitely a change. It will be a fun and wonderful experience. I have already thought about little boy ACUs and PT clothes (little army clothes) and what I will decorate the "boy" room in etc. I have always heard boys are "easier" but more rambunctious so I guess we will just have to see. I was excited that during the ultrasound our little boy was crossing his legs at the ankle like both his sisters do! So funny! We will keep y'all posted on names and other developments.

Halloween 2023

We pulled off our best Halloween!  Possibly ever!  Jake had a vision and it came true beautifully.  He even had the cutest song he sang.  I loved our last Halloween in our Hurst home.

sometimes life may get you down

but then you remember how wonderful you husband is and it makes it all ok. Jake surprised me by ordering these gorgeous handmade pearl earrings from TINY STORM for me for Christmas and they were waiting for us with all our mail when we arrived back home after vacation. He got down on one knee and presented me with these earrings and it brought tears to my eyes. I am so grateful to have such a wonderful, hardworking, and loving husband who is always there to take care of me and love me when I am having a rough time. Thank you Jacob!
