Gratitude Day 14

Today I'm grateful for BIRTHDAYS!
What a day to make you feel special and loved for no other reason than it was the day you were born!
Yesterday was my 26th birthday.
Yesterday I was grateful for 
(in no particular order)
law school t-shirts, days starting and ending at midnight, Facebook birthday messages, friends, flea markets, phone calls, hair bows, family, crafts, finding lost items, garage sales, Christmas present finds, steak, a heating pad, electricity, cheesecake,
 
video cameras, family, 
brothers being brothers, 
kids being kids, 
finishing unfinished projects, no dishes, no cleaning, uninterrupted time to get ready, dates, Cheetos, movie theaters, a baby moving in my tummy, beach chairs, candles, not getting up with the kids, sleeping through the night, no morning duty, a clean house, Christmas decorations, and all the kind words shared with me during my "party."
I love you Jake, thank you for orchestrating an absolutely wonderful day full of "me."
I'm 26!

    Gosh dang me. This is what happens when I don't get on the computer in forever (over 36 hours...so maybe not forever)

    Oh my, I thought you were a year older than me, not two months younger. Oh good luck on 26, its a good year. Nice and relaxing, i feel like I've finally grown up.

20 Weeks

Today we had the opportunity to go in for our 20 week ultrasound. We are excited to announce that baby #3 is a healthy BOY! We are excited but have to admit we are a bit nervous. Change is hard and after two girls this is definitely a change. It will be a fun and wonderful experience. I have already thought about little boy ACUs and PT clothes (little army clothes) and what I will decorate the "boy" room in etc. I have always heard boys are "easier" but more rambunctious so I guess we will just have to see. I was excited that during the ultrasound our little boy was crossing his legs at the ankle like both his sisters do! So funny! We will keep y'all posted on names and other developments.

Halloween 2023

 We pulled off our best Halloween!  Possibly ever!  Jake had a vision and it came true beautifully.  He even had the cutest song he sang.  I loved our last Halloween in our Hurst home.

sometimes life may get you down

but then you remember how wonderful you husband is and it makes it all ok. Jake surprised me by ordering these gorgeous handmade pearl earrings from TINY STORM for me for Christmas and they were waiting for us with all our mail when we arrived back home after vacation. He got down on one knee and presented me with these earrings and it brought tears to my eyes. I am so grateful to have such a wonderful, hardworking, and loving husband who is always there to take care of me and love me when I am having a rough time. Thank you Jacob!
