Tuesday:
I am organizing my office area today. I love love love having an "office area" because I feel I am more productive. It is by no means perfect yet but definitely better than when it was in our room on our tiny letter desk.
I have started a few projects in our house now that I know we will be here longer. I bought a shelf for over the toilet in our bathroom so we will have more space for towels. Our vanity is small and does not have much storage space.

My kids are all napping and instead of napping myself I am doing various things (like blogging).

I made dinner today at 11am. Enchiladas in the fridge ready to bake right before Jake gets home from work. LOVE THAT! I have no energy to cook at the end of the day but love to during the day.

Wednesday:
The girls got to color on the porch! I love our porch and the cool weather. It equals LOTS of time on the porch coloring, snacking, waiting for people, saying good-bye to people, and you name it we try to do it on the porch in the cool fall air.

Now it is Thursday.
I LOVE our condo. This is a recent feeling. I think I always took our condo for granted because I always thought that you just HAD to have a HOUSE (with a yard). But our condo is HOME. I love it. I feel safe here and it has the perfect amount of space for everyone and makes me HAPPY.

I miss wearing heels. I am just not as confident in them anymore with a 4 month old in my arms knowing that at any moment I may have to chase down an almost three year old or pick up a 20 month old pitching a major fit. Every time I get ready I put on my trusty ol' (summer 2007)brown reef flip-flops...I just need to invest in about 10 more pairs of those in various colors.

Last night we ended up with both Aimi Lark and Malachi in our bed. Now I have to admit I really enjoyed it. I know I do not want that to be a regular occurrence (maybe like once a year) but waking up with those two precious babies there in my bed made me happy deep inside.
Brody is doing so great and taking care of business. We do not have to remind him to make his bed in the morning or pick up the playroom in the evenings. I am so proud of him for working on his manners as well. Thank you Brody!
The girls have a new love for our Living Scriptures movies. They ask to watch "Jesus" or "Baby Jesus" and I cannot resist and I let them watch 2 or 3 in a row!
Aimi Lark LOVES this blue flowered dress from her Mia. It reminds me a bit of a little house on the prairie dress (in a good way) but she asks to wear it EVERY DAY!

  2. I agree with you about organizing. Our "office" room is currently so jam packed with storage that we have our office in the living room. It's driving us crazy! So why will you end up being there longer? Jake's graduating in December, right?

20 Weeks

Today we had the opportunity to go in for our 20 week ultrasound. We are excited to announce that baby #3 is a healthy BOY! We are excited but have to admit we are a bit nervous. Change is hard and after two girls this is definitely a change. It will be a fun and wonderful experience. I have already thought about little boy ACUs and PT clothes (little army clothes) and what I will decorate the "boy" room in etc. I have always heard boys are "easier" but more rambunctious so I guess we will just have to see. I was excited that during the ultrasound our little boy was crossing his legs at the ankle like both his sisters do! So funny! We will keep y'all posted on names and other developments.

Halloween 2023

We pulled off our best Halloween!  Possibly ever!  Jake had a vision and it came true beautifully.  He even had the cutest song he sang.  I loved our last Halloween in our Hurst home.

sometimes life may get you down

but then you remember how wonderful you husband is and it makes it all ok. Jake surprised me by ordering these gorgeous handmade pearl earrings from TINY STORM for me for Christmas and they were waiting for us with all our mail when we arrived back home after vacation. He got down on one knee and presented me with these earrings and it brought tears to my eyes. I am so grateful to have such a wonderful, hardworking, and loving husband who is always there to take care of me and love me when I am having a rough time. Thank you Jacob!
