Family Halloween Party

This year we had a wonderful Halloween Party at Alyssa Neeley Hill's grandparents' house. She is from Jake's hometown and so is her husband Shaun. They were a cute Elvis/jail mate couple. We had a wonderful turn-out. We played games, ate food, and even had a costume contest.
Troy (Josh's friend/mission companion/roommate) won scariest, Ken (Josh) and Kayla (Barbie) won best couple, Noah's Ark (us) won best group, Audrey (Wayne's World) won funniest costume, Juno characters (Seth and Larkie) won most original, and the rocker family (Shillig 5s) won best overall. Jake handed out prizes (that he picked out) in his Noah costume. Jake loved spouting off crazy rantings and ravings while wearing his beard. We played some fun games and enjoyed seeing everyone. Aimi Lark was super excited because Uncle Nate brought cousin Madilyn for her to play with. Earlier in the day I told Aimi Lark about the party and she asked if Madilyn would be there and I told her probably not but she came! We had a great turn-out and even grabbed a group picture at the end of the night. It was so great that everyone dressed up!

20 Weeks

Today we had the opportunity to go in for our 20 week ultrasound. We are excited to announce that baby #3 is a healthy BOY! We are excited but have to admit we are a bit nervous. Change is hard and after two girls this is definitely a change. It will be a fun and wonderful experience. I have already thought about little boy ACUs and PT clothes (little army clothes) and what I will decorate the "boy" room in etc. I have always heard boys are "easier" but more rambunctious so I guess we will just have to see. I was excited that during the ultrasound our little boy was crossing his legs at the ankle like both his sisters do! So funny! We will keep y'all posted on names and other developments.

Halloween 2023

 We pulled off our best Halloween!  Possibly ever!  Jake had a vision and it came true beautifully.  He even had the cutest song he sang.  I loved our last Halloween in our Hurst home.

sometimes life may get you down

but then you remember how wonderful you husband is and it makes it all ok. Jake surprised me by ordering these gorgeous handmade pearl earrings from TINY STORM for me for Christmas and they were waiting for us with all our mail when we arrived back home after vacation. He got down on one knee and presented me with these earrings and it brought tears to my eyes. I am so grateful to have such a wonderful, hardworking, and loving husband who is always there to take care of me and love me when I am having a rough time. Thank you Jacob!
