Alpine Loop 2009

Today we went up to Alpine loop with our family, Kayla, Josh, the Saragers, Audrey, and Carol. We had such a great drive. It was not too cold (even though there was some snow here and there) and the colors were PERFECT! We have found a radio station here in Utah that plays wonderful church music on Sundays and we listened to that on our drive. The music and scenery were a perfect combination! It was quite the adventure to try and get a great group shot. We had fun though!
Josh was a great help to Kayla as she took the pictures. Notice the grass in Mali Su's face? Now see that it is gone? Josh laid his body on the tall grass to keep it out of the shot. And in this picture Josh did some sweet cheerleader style jumps to get our girls to look at the camera, we were all laughing!

20 Weeks

Today we had the opportunity to go in for our 20 week ultrasound. We are excited to announce that baby #3 is a healthy BOY! We are excited but have to admit we are a bit nervous. Change is hard and after two girls this is definitely a change. It will be a fun and wonderful experience. I have already thought about little boy ACUs and PT clothes (little army clothes) and what I will decorate the "boy" room in etc. I have always heard boys are "easier" but more rambunctious so I guess we will just have to see. I was excited that during the ultrasound our little boy was crossing his legs at the ankle like both his sisters do! So funny! We will keep y'all posted on names and other developments.

Halloween 2023

We pulled off our best Halloween!  Possibly ever!  Jake had a vision and it came true beautifully.  He even had the cutest song he sang.  I loved our last Halloween in our Hurst home.

sometimes life may get you down

but then you remember how wonderful you husband is and it makes it all ok. Jake surprised me by ordering these gorgeous handmade pearl earrings from TINY STORM for me for Christmas and they were waiting for us with all our mail when we arrived back home after vacation. He got down on one knee and presented me with these earrings and it brought tears to my eyes. I am so grateful to have such a wonderful, hardworking, and loving husband who is always there to take care of me and love me when I am having a rough time. Thank you Jacob!
