Spring Break

We have not done too much of anything.

We watched some TV shows with the laptop hooked up to the TV.
The boys have played HALO 3.
Jake showed the boys his missionary albums.
Jake has been working.
When we drop him off Mali Su started asking for a kiss and now it has become a big long process for him to say goodbye. Hugs, kisses, and I love yous all around.
Aimi Lark has gotten in LOTS of trouble for changing out the "shows" in her room by climbing on top of the police car. (Jake has threatened to turn it into a convertible i.e. cut the top off)
Mali Su is just being, well, Mali Su.I took the boys for "Kong" cones at the local Macey's grocery store.

We bought sweet potatoes for some yummy sweet potato fries (since Jake and I are eating only fruits and veggies this week).

Malachi is well on his way to weaning himself. Jake is now with the boys at the BYU diving pool. That will be the last hoorah before spring break abruptly ends tomorrow with Jake leaving for drill in the early morning and Beau leaving for his Rugby game in St. George, UT.

But I will end on a super happy note: TODAY it was 70 degrees! (but I hear in 2 days it will snow snow snow).

  1. We are also supposed to get snow tonight. Crazy weather. Lucky you though in the 70's! I can hardly wait for the weather to warm up more permanently

20 Weeks

Today we had the opportunity to go in for our 20 week ultrasound. We are excited to announce that baby #3 is a healthy BOY! We are excited but have to admit we are a bit nervous. Change is hard and after two girls this is definitely a change. It will be a fun and wonderful experience. I have already thought about little boy ACUs and PT clothes (little army clothes) and what I will decorate the "boy" room in etc. I have always heard boys are "easier" but more rambunctious so I guess we will just have to see. I was excited that during the ultrasound our little boy was crossing his legs at the ankle like both his sisters do! So funny! We will keep y'all posted on names and other developments.

Halloween 2023

We pulled off our best Halloween!  Possibly ever!  Jake had a vision and it came true beautifully.  He even had the cutest song he sang.  I loved our last Halloween in our Hurst home.

sometimes life may get you down

but then you remember how wonderful you husband is and it makes it all ok. Jake surprised me by ordering these gorgeous handmade pearl earrings from TINY STORM for me for Christmas and they were waiting for us with all our mail when we arrived back home after vacation. He got down on one knee and presented me with these earrings and it brought tears to my eyes. I am so grateful to have such a wonderful, hardworking, and loving husband who is always there to take care of me and love me when I am having a rough time. Thank you Jacob!
