Even on the Sundays Jake doesn't have drill it takes a lot of effort on every one's parts to have a successful church experience.I think I did OK today.
We were out the door on time,
stopped and had Josh take a picture (or 5),
everyone went to their classes,
I spent (lots of) time in the foyer with Malachi
(because he insisted upon trying to eat the microphone cord in both Relief Society and Sunday school).I can't leave out the part where I attempted to share my testimony (on the first Sunday of each month, sacrament meetings are set aside for the bearing of testimonies by the membership) and BOTH girls enthusiastically joined me on the stand (stage). I was actually sharing my testimony of raising my children and being a mother and thought to myself, "I'm sure the congregation is thinking that I need another child like I need a hole in my head." Needless to say I got flustered as the girls pulled out tissues next to me and I hurried and finished up (I'm sure making no sense at all).
We are home now and I feel great about my accomplishment,
3 hours of church with 5 kids = I'm ready for a nap (that isn't likely to happen).
