Lehi Aquatics Center

While Jake's family was in town Larkie planned for us to all go to the Lehi to the indoor pool there. It was a ton of fun! Aimi Lark was a total little fish, Malachi was clingy, and Mali Su was apprehensive of it all. We had to trudge through a BLIZZARD to get inside, hence, the snow boots with the girls' swimsuits.
We had quite the group. All the husbands seemed to be at work or school this day but we did fantastic and enacted the buddy system!
These three cousins crack me up!
We miss you baby Maddox
(the other boy cousin born in 2009)
and look forward to meeting baby Gwen and Braxton!
Aimi Lark wanted to roam free with whoever was going where she wasn't at the moment.
Malachi wasn't the biggest fan of the life jacket but Grammie was able to get him to relax.
Grandpa tried to give Mali Su a pep talk to PUT ON HER LIFE JACKET but of course true to Mali Su fashion she resisted and we just had to keep an even closer eye on her than everyone else (but then again when do we not have to do that).
It was quite the task to get all the kids changed and out the door.
Aimi Lark did NOT want to leave.
Align CenterThanks Larkie for the pics and for planning the outing!

  3. Hey, I keep forgetting to tell you about that eczema cream. We just got it at Wal-mart and I'm pretty sure it just says infant eczema cream w/ a picture of winnie the pooh on it. I'm not sure if that's what's working on Zoey or the lack of soap, but something is helping out a lot. Where did you buy those swim suits for your kids? They are so cute and I'll need swim suits like that for all of my kids!

20 Weeks

Today we had the opportunity to go in for our 20 week ultrasound. We are excited to announce that baby #3 is a healthy BOY! We are excited but have to admit we are a bit nervous. Change is hard and after two girls this is definitely a change. It will be a fun and wonderful experience. I have already thought about little boy ACUs and PT clothes (little army clothes) and what I will decorate the "boy" room in etc. I have always heard boys are "easier" but more rambunctious so I guess we will just have to see. I was excited that during the ultrasound our little boy was crossing his legs at the ankle like both his sisters do! So funny! We will keep y'all posted on names and other developments.

Halloween 2023

We pulled off our best Halloween!  Possibly ever!  Jake had a vision and it came true beautifully.  He even had the cutest song he sang.  I loved our last Halloween in our Hurst home.

sometimes life may get you down

but then you remember how wonderful you husband is and it makes it all ok. Jake surprised me by ordering these gorgeous handmade pearl earrings from TINY STORM for me for Christmas and they were waiting for us with all our mail when we arrived back home after vacation. He got down on one knee and presented me with these earrings and it brought tears to my eyes. I am so grateful to have such a wonderful, hardworking, and loving husband who is always there to take care of me and love me when I am having a rough time. Thank you Jacob!
