Jake has drill

so we spend the day...
admiring the movies that were removed from the playroom
(b/c a certain someone couldn't keep her hands off them)coloring
(and the boys playing some CALL in the background)
cleaning the atrocious playroom
(thank-you Brody)
trying to keep boppies (pacifiers) away from Aimi Lark
(she has an obsession, she doesn't take a pacifier but would in a heartbeat if I let her,
she is like a dog with bones and seems to have boppies hidden EVERYWHERE in our house)

watching Malachi practice his new trick of standing up in his crib
(and chewing on the rail)
practicing walking with Malachi
(Beau doesn't think it is physically possible for Malachi to walk due to his big body and what Beau says are his tiny feet)
having a measuring contest to see if Brody has indeed grown taller
(I think he has)
and just being plain ol' being silly.
Jake we miss you. Come home soon!

20 Weeks

Today we had the opportunity to go in for our 20 week ultrasound. We are excited to announce that baby #3 is a healthy BOY! We are excited but have to admit we are a bit nervous. Change is hard and after two girls this is definitely a change. It will be a fun and wonderful experience. I have already thought about little boy ACUs and PT clothes (little army clothes) and what I will decorate the "boy" room in etc. I have always heard boys are "easier" but more rambunctious so I guess we will just have to see. I was excited that during the ultrasound our little boy was crossing his legs at the ankle like both his sisters do! So funny! We will keep y'all posted on names and other developments.

Halloween 2023

We pulled off our best Halloween!  Possibly ever!  Jake had a vision and it came true beautifully.  He even had the cutest song he sang.  I loved our last Halloween in our Hurst home.

sometimes life may get you down

but then you remember how wonderful you husband is and it makes it all ok. Jake surprised me by ordering these gorgeous handmade pearl earrings from TINY STORM for me for Christmas and they were waiting for us with all our mail when we arrived back home after vacation. He got down on one knee and presented me with these earrings and it brought tears to my eyes. I am so grateful to have such a wonderful, hardworking, and loving husband who is always there to take care of me and love me when I am having a rough time. Thank you Jacob!
