This morning at about 9AM they (the city) shut off our power for quite awhile (about 4 hours) so they could do some maintenance in the area (that is what the little orange flier they hung on our door last night said).
To entertain the girls we played on the porch while sick little Malachi napped in his bed.

Since the quiche I put in the (electric) oven did not finish before we lost power Jake took us to lunch at Carrabba's (since he was in uniform they hooked us up with a sweet discount) before he had to go back to work.

This evening I ran a few (too many) errands and left Jake at home with the Shillig 5s and all our kids. When I got home from errands I asked about the kids and then asked where Malachi was. Jake said he didn't know to ask Brody. Well sure enough Malachi was found, asleep on the playroom floor (I'm just glad he crashed on a blanket).

As I took Malachi's picture and began to walk away I was greeted by this (overly eager) 2 year old asking for me to take her picture (again and again).
One of my errands this evening may or may not have included 30 boxes of Captain Crunch for .40 (forty cents)/box...SCORE!
I love food storage.
Jake just had to pull out more rice and powdered milk from my long term supply because I am trying my hardest to use my food storage daily (and mostly just not buy groceries)!

Happy Wednesday, indeed! You so scored with that cereal! That Malachi is absolutely the cutest! Precious pics! We LOVE Carrabbas, too! Glad your power's back.
ReplyDelete30 boxes?! Man you're on top of things! My little apartment barely has room for a few groceries very less 30 boxes of cereal-I wish it did! I pray the kids don't open up each box and start "playing" :) Malachi is so precious-I hope he starts feeling better soon :( did the doctor say what was wrong? Poor little guy.
