Girls' Night

During the Priesthood Session of Conference since all the guys are gone us girls like to get together and PAR-TAY.
Well party as much as partying goes with LOTS of kids and plenty of GOOD FOOD!
We had a blast and bonded.
Jake's cousin Shay was in town and kindly shared this picture and photo caption on her blog.
L-R in back Miriam holding baby William (belongs to Kaylene), Marlyse holding her boy Talon, Caroline holding her boy Malachi and her girl Aimi Lark, Shay holding baby Layne. 1. This looks like so much fun Caroline! I've always thought a big slumber party/get together with all the girls and kiddos would be a blast :) Sometimes it's nice to go back and watch a Disney movie or the Sound of Music :)

20 Weeks

Today we had the opportunity to go in for our 20 week ultrasound. We are excited to announce that baby #3 is a healthy BOY! We are excited but have to admit we are a bit nervous. Change is hard and after two girls this is definitely a change. It will be a fun and wonderful experience. I have already thought about little boy ACUs and PT clothes (little army clothes) and what I will decorate the "boy" room in etc. I have always heard boys are "easier" but more rambunctious so I guess we will just have to see. I was excited that during the ultrasound our little boy was crossing his legs at the ankle like both his sisters do! So funny! We will keep y'all posted on names and other developments.

Halloween 2023

We pulled off our best Halloween!  Possibly ever!  Jake had a vision and it came true beautifully.  He even had the cutest song he sang.  I loved our last Halloween in our Hurst home.

sometimes life may get you down

but then you remember how wonderful you husband is and it makes it all ok. Jake surprised me by ordering these gorgeous handmade pearl earrings from TINY STORM for me for Christmas and they were waiting for us with all our mail when we arrived back home after vacation. He got down on one knee and presented me with these earrings and it brought tears to my eyes. I am so grateful to have such a wonderful, hardworking, and loving husband who is always there to take care of me and love me when I am having a rough time. Thank you Jacob!
